In an interview with ABC News' George Stephanopolous Sunday, Sen. John McCain would not say whether he'd support Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin if she runs for president.

"Listen I have the greatest appreciation for Gov. Palin and her family and it was a great joy to know them," McCain said. "She invigorated our campaign and she was just down in Georgia and she invigorated their campaign."

"But I can't say something like that," McCain said, "We've got some great other young governors."

McCain said he thinks the Republican governors are going to assume a leadership role in the future of the Republican Party.

"Have no doubt of my admiration and respect for her and her viability," McCain said, "but at this stage my corpse is still warm!"

ha that's hilarious... i didn't care for any of the other candidates at all.
didn't like mccain, obama, or the other VP...
Sarah Palin was the only one I cared for. she is probably more truthful, righteous and down to earth than any politician that has touched the face of this earth.

Is he saying that he will run again as long as he is still alive?

Gov. Sarah Palin is what kept his numbers high and in the run for Presidency. I prefered Mike Huckabee myself. Fair tax is the only way!

Palin is also a reason that many Republicans and Independents voted Democrat this year.

That's funny. She's the one that I liked the least. I liked McCain more then Palin. But..I liked Obama more then McCain.

I kinda suspect that the GOP knew they were doomed in this election

The GOP base was never fond of McCain. He was always seen as a not very conservative. Sarah Palin was trotted out to make them happy. They are gonna lose anyway. Use the opportunity to unify the base and possibly introduce her and segue her into the new face of the GOP

she didnt too well but she may or not get better

if not there's always Bobby Jindal

Palin needs to stay in Alaska. I'd rather have Ronald McDonald run for president. She is an idiot!

Could be wrong, but I never got the impression that McCain liked her deep down. I noticed in some interviews, watching his body language, he appeared annoyed with her. She made him look insignificant because people came to see her for the most part.

Hardly matters at this point but I am most grateful she didn't become VP and with her right wing religious views I can only hope the country would never take her on as president. If he was all that enthused he would have been able to answer the question of her future without hesitation.

I agree she's down to earth in some sense, but honest? She would have said and done anything to get this spot, and proved it by what she was willing to say over and over and over.

Personally I think they lost because of what they were willing to stoop to, and their willingness to diss everyone but their base. Even if she didn't believe half the crapola she was asked to say, she had no problem saying it. Not someone I would find worthy of the position.

McCain just couldn't catch a break, and he just ended up trying anything, looking more desperate than confident even when he said he was confident. The country evolved, they hadn't.

I dunno

Jeb is already pushing 60. his window may have closed

George P is only 35 or so

when asked about his political intentions he said

"Bush replied that his grandmother, Barbara Bush, had advised that anyone thinking about entering politics should distinguish himself in some other field first: "Make a name for yourself, have a family, marry someone great, have some kids, buy a house, pay taxes, and do the things everyone also does instead of just running out and saying, 'Hey, I'm the nephew of or the son of or the grandson of...'."
Speaking specifically of his father's White House ambitions, he cites "Bush fatigue" as a discouraging factor."

yep, anyone who has been trained fight shipboard fires is intimately aware of the Forrestal. McCain was involved? He was sitting in a plane in the middle of a mass conflagration and had to use his ejection seat to escape.

Yes I have heard the story. It just seems funny he was whisked away before any investigations were done. The only ones who know the truth were there. Seems that has happened alot in our country... I actually trained on the Forestall to fight said fires..

ummm I think he was whisked away to the hospital.

That is just another swift boat

the fire was a result of an electrical short in a Zuni rocket (they were also notorious for that)

McCain was sitting in a plane on the complete opposite side of the flightdeck when it happened. Its on the ILRTS flightdeck cameras

ahhh I found it

I don't care much for McCain but I care less for false propaganda

But Im not taking anything off of Youtube as fact either.Sry I dont even watch them unless its for a chuckle.. I just wanted to see what people thought. Thats all..
