Been through it myself. The first time, I stayed, cause I couldn't believe someone who loved me as much as he said he did, could do something so bad to me, not to mention I didn't think I could do better. The second time, I left as soon as it started. I wasn't going to wait around to see what else he was going to do to me.

I was a victim of domestic violence. Tell you what...I didn't stick around.

I know others (men/women) that did stick around..and their relationship didn't get better. There was always fear still in them.

I left, it was the only intelligent thing to do. I don't deserve to be a victim of that.

My first exwife was a victum by her ex husband. I got her away from the situation and we started dating and then later married. We stayed married for 20 good years

I know someone who allows her husband to throw her around -- last I heard, she's still with him. Go figure.frustrated

Leaving was the only option at the time- I could have kicked her arse if I wanted to but it's not my bag.

It is sometimes a hard thing to get away from. I know in my own situation, I stayed 2 years longer than I wanted to. I stayed until I had enough confidence to walk away, and I also had to make sure I could support my son on my own.

Its really sad to see how many have been in that kind of a situation. I applaud everyone who had the courage to walk away from someone like that!

i was in one for a very short time, only new the guy for about a week, didnt know much about him until later, the day he went to jail the stupid idiot tried calling me collect from jail... i had the block put on the phones so he couldnt call me...

he stated he was on probation but didnt say why, i went to court with him and the judge said something about asult and battery i ask him later about that he said oh my po just mad at me... and then he acced me on cheating which i didnt besides that he wouldnt leave my side for a week..
when he was finally arrested i tracked down a ex gf of his as to find out he cheated on her, and the person he was with he got her into drugs and she ended up in the hositol but she didnt presse charges but i guess there was another time he was with someone else and hit that person with a tire iron, the hospitol pressed charges on him..

i got a letter from the da several yrs ago as to find out he attact and beat up a 65yr old lady and she ended up in the hospitol

NO I DONT HAVE CONTACT OF HIM AND DONT WANT TO
