NOT SOFT THAT WAY!!!

Do you think men today aren't as strong or macho as they were about 25
years ago?
If so, Is it a good thing or a bad thing?

Hmm...well, definitely don't miss the macho thing..but it kind of went
overboard. I can't find a man yet who is willing to be my yard boy. They
all want everything for nothing, it seems.

No, I think the status quo is alive and well

But we are seeing men depicted as more than the "strong, silent type
---- 'bout time....

I think most guys are sissy's trying to "act" tough.

Of course my 10 years in the Army had nothin to do with comin up with
that opinion either...lol

Yeah, BigGlenn...see, I get messages from these young pups all the time
that talk about how much they looooooooooooove older women.

And I say, Well, I'm not looking for a fk buddy.

And they say, Who said I was?

And I say, Okay, so do you want a garden wedding or a church wedding?

And the ones who don't immediately sign off IM say...well, I don't know
about that.

And I say, Okay, so how bout being my yard boy, then?

And they say...no way! I'm not gonna do any work!

See, for some strange reason they seem to get the whole situation
assbackwards and act as though their doing ME a favor by offering their
"services" to me. LOL.

I don't NEED sex...I need yardwork done! And who better to do it than a
young, strapping 25-year-old?

hehe

In other words, BG, all joking aside, while I don't see the machismo as
much as in the past ...i mean, challenging other men to fights and
things like that, I also don't see a whole lot of men doing what men are
"supposed" to do. Lots of couch potatoes, lots of whiners, wimps,
complainers.

My NDN is a prime example of how a MAN is "supposed" to act, IMO. He
worked two full-time jobs, served two years in Iraq in the Army, after
he got home he not only does his own yardwork, in addition to his jobs,
but helps everyone else in the cul-de-sac who needs help, and sweeps the
entire cul-de-sac, as well as weeding the curb, and almost always looks
like a very happy guy.

Right now, he's back over in Iraq working as a civilian mechanic so he
can make money to put a down payment on a very nice house for his wife
(good friend of mine) and her extended family (who won't work for ****,
any of them).

Now THAT's a man for ya.

Jean,
That's cool. But I didn't really mean the "fight" thing, Although Alot
of problems used to get solved with fists instead of lawyers and
therapists.

Myself, I see no need in "acting" a certain way
I am who I am
If showing my woman that I love her or being emotional at certain times
shows that I am not strong then oh well
Everyone is human
Although just to answer your question
Times have changed and people adapt
It seems as though all people have become more open and emotional not
just men
Does that help you out at all?

imbroglio,
It was just a question, Don't need help.
I am who I am too. I don't have the time or inclination to ACT at
anything.
