Branson? Is there a "trip" in the making?

I think the older we get, the more scars we bear. And we become more set in our ways. When we date, we see flags that remind us of past hurts or warning signs.

We really need to go out there with an open mind and be flexible enough to accept each other's shortcomings... weighing the pros and cons to determine if it's something we can or are willing to live with or endure.

Unfortunately, we live in a disposable world and I think too many people look at relationships as disposable. I don't think people are willing to put as much energy into relationships as perhaps our parents or grandparents did.

We also have more of "what else is out there" always dangling like the proverbial carrot in front of us. The temptation and curiosity gets the better of some of us.

Just like we women were raised to dream about our knight in shining armor, or prince charming... the guys grow up thinking women are supposed to look like Barbie dolls and act like Stepford Wives. We should be raising our children to look beyond outer beauty and to see beauty in many facets, not just a physical beauty, but an inner beauty. I've seen so many young (pre-teen) girls having meltdowns over their looks and wanting to alter their looks with plastic surgery, implants, etc.

Are we cyborgs or people???

I really enjoy this site... the people for the most part are really awesome and very insightful. I think I can make some dear friends on here... and who knows, maybe meet the man of my dreams instead of nightmares... LOL

Can't say enough good things about most of the folks you will find here.
All but that guy called, Old Sage, need to watch him, he is rather opinionated, kind of onery; but usually a decent guy.
