I tried those once -- I'd rather starve.

Eat what you want and let the roommate buy their own food?

My sentiments...
Let the roommate buy their food and you buy what you want problem solved.

There ain't nuthin' wrong with Ramen. Some brands are downright delicious, too (like this one Korean brand called "Neoguri"- now THAT'S eatin'!), while others can be a wee bit hit-and-miss.

The top contender for crappy Ramen-like Ramen product would have to go to "Cup-O-Noodles"- I swear I go through gastro-intestinal trainwrecks whenever I have to eat that crap.

There are actually some pretty good ramen recipes online that I used to use all the time. Maybe you can try some of those for your roommate when you guys have extra cash.

Ramen noodles rock. Add some leftover vegies, 2 slices of any cheese and what ever meat (ham, turkey or chicken) you have on hand. My son found a cookbook 101 ways to fix ramen noodles and gave it to me for my birthday.

I actually really enjoy ramen but what I prefer to do is cut up a bunch of chicken or carrot or veggies an dump those in. If you dont have any of that, just toss in an egg and that will make it a little more hearty. They are bad for you nutritionally speaking though. Pure carbohydrate and a ridiculous amount of sodium.

So true! I raised 2 girls who thought I was the greatest cook in the universe and they always wanted me to do something with Ramen Noodles! Wish I had had that book.
