To be honest, I'd rather go out for a first date - not sure how comfortable I'd be in someones home that I didn't know.

If it were a FIRST date and I had not met you, I'd want to meet in a public place. If I knew the fellow personally through acquaintance, I would love the effort of a home cooked meal. Just, remember a small nosegay of flowers for her, too.

If it were me...I would like to go out to dinner on the first date. But ask her what she would like better.

well the answers are mixed and i asked but she insisted that i decide, but i never specified public or home just what she liked. one of those i gotta figure it out i guess and no i have never met her. I guess out to eat is best.

I agree somewhere public...although I did have a candle lite picnic for a first date one time...and he was soooo impressed...it was at a park...the candles surrounded the picnic table...it was nice...
