HG do you have much hunting of deer in Va.? Don't hunt anymore! After my dog got shot I quit. To crazy in the woods now, They shoot and look later. Like just watching the wildlife now. I honestly wonder how some guys can get a hunters safety card. I've seen some guys do really insane things. Things that get other hunters shot. I head up the mountain when all the idiots have gone home and just wonder around enjoying my time up there with very few guys around. I don't know either...they threw my dog in the pond. I hunted for him for a long time. Found him 2 weeks later, floating at the edge with a hole in him. A bunch of hunters tried to steal him the year before. I went in and messed up there hunting by howling for my dog. Boy were they pissed but they brought my dog to me. He was so neat, he didn't ride in a dog box he would set in the seat beside me. He was a pet and a hunting dog. We would ride down the road and I would know if deer would be near by he would go crazy. God help me if they jumped in front of the truck. He about tore the inside of my truck apart one day on a dirt road. Did the only thing I could open the door and let him go. Nothing sounds better than a good dog on trail of a deer or a coon dog that has treed. That really stinks. Did you ever find out who shot him? They need to be shot. Ticks me off guys will do that. I remeber out hunting years ago. My dad, brothers, and other uncles and cousins were all standing by the trucks having a sandwich when this really shabby looking sheep dog comes running down the road. We were the only ones out there so we figured the dog was lost. My dad called to it to hop in the truck but it just looked at him and ran on by. My dad then talks to it in spanish, telling it to get in the truck. It stops and comes back and hops in the truck. Turned out it belong to a sheep herder who only knew spanish. So that's all the dog knew.

How have you been Ron? Evening Carol. Been doing good. Patiently waiting for the end of the month so I can finally make that Seattle trip. I hope the snow out there is gone by then. You feeling better? Taking plenty of vitamin c?

Yeah it will nice when your able to get away :) Hopefully you dan't have the same bug that's been traveling the country. It's been a bad one. I caught it almost six weeks ago and still have some of the cough. I'm hoping to be sitting with friends in Seattle in their living room watching the superbowl. I sure hope the weather cooperates this time.

I heard this evening the Cedar River was out of it's banks and parts of I-5 are under water. Looks like a real mess out there right now.

I heard this evening the Cedar River was out of it's banks and parts of I-5 are under water. Looks like a real mess out there right now. Earlier this evening the weather channel was saying all raods in andn out of Seattle are closed. I-90 might re-open this weekend. I plan on leqving here no later than the 25th. All I can do is hope.

Going to be posting any new poems? If I can stay off here long enough to get a couple finished. My last one took three weeks to finally complete enough to feel comfortable to post. So, if you don't see me here you know I'm working on them.
