Suppose there is someone that you really like and who really likes you. You're ready to commit but they're out of a bad relationship and though they like you they're terrified and pull away. What do you do?

Give them a little space. From experience, to calm a skittish filly, you need a soft voice, firm hand and patience. Good luck and don't worry if it takes a little time.

Yup, wait it out and see if she comes back to you, kinda sucks but if you chase after her right after her breakup it might push her even further away.

Define "a little space"! I should mention that the other person is out of the relationship about 9 months but from what I know it was so very tough.

Don't call/text/email every day. Let a few go by then send one out of the blue to let her know you're thinking about her.

If she isn't over her previous relationship, then you need to take things VERY slow until she is completely over it. Nothing worse that jumping into a relationship with someone who can't let go of the past.

They need to resolve or find a way to deal with that issue.

Two Choices

(A) Wait for her and one day she will realize the true love of her life and run into your awaiting arms and live happily ever after

or

(B) Get her drunk and do her anyway

If you both really like each other, just be patient. She will come around.

Nope I disagree you pull them back....and make them face what it is...then put it in the past and live happily ever after with you. When they pull back that allows for walls to go back up....don't let em. And be blunt and honest...I know for me I get in peoples face and for a few I am the only one that could...but done out of love and to help them....later they will say thank you....Some of my matches and 1 of the marriages wouldn't be so if I didn't get in their face and make them take the walls down.

I'm inclined to agree with this. I think the answer is to show patience and to be consistant, let her know that I am not her ex.

i'm gonna go against the grain and say not to give her time, not to give her space, not let her come to you.

if you wait around for that, she might either think you're not interested and/or find someone else who is paying her attention.

i think you show her your loyalty, your affection, your interest and your attraction. it doesn't have to be overdone, but i think it should be firm and constant.

I would let her have plenty of space, you "do not" want to be a rebound! Even though she has feelings for you she's not over her ex. Just my opinion

This thread really hits home. Yes, contact her only every so often. Do not do what I did and try to take her out every other day. Just drop little hints that your still interested.
