I'm not the one dragging our personal issue into the general public.

And this isn't about ego. It's about fair and equal treatment. I show
you respect, I hold back the dispareging comments (I've thought a few,
trust me), I treat you like an equal. And expect the same in return.
You've failed to do that. Like a few other individuals. I don't start
this crap, but I don't stop fighting back, either.

So far you have called me an aetheist, made reference to being a
liberal...assumed I am pro life...condemned my beliefs, and praised the
gods of any religion, I am a minority for my beliefs...shall I go on?

And you've called me a liar, said I was narrow minded, insulted my
integrity, claimed I didn't do things that I did, in fact, do. AND
called me a liar when I pointed this out- repeatedly. Before I once made
any negative comment towards you or anyone else.

I have read the bible; and have a beliefe in what I have read, and
experianced. I don't tie it to any religion. I am interested in what
other religions are based on; but I am firm in what I belive.

I do not say my beliefs are the only correct ones; but they are the ones
I have known and developed. I have battled Cancer of the larinexe. I
belive God cured it for me. It astounded the Drs. but did not me.

I don't know if all the names are the same being; but that being is
there.

I did it via the email, out of respect for everyone else- because I've
let us drag this on in public for way too long.

let us speak about the faith...ferretism
ferretism holds no evil nor concept of good.

the common know "laws" if you will work as such,

1-Thou shall take if it be shiny

2-Thou shall bite ye stranger cuz thee can

3-Thou shall dunk head in fresh litter for fresh litter may not always
be there for head dunking

4-Thou who craps first in corner, owns Corner and thy corner shall be
made for thy crapping hence on

5- Thou shall take, when one isnt watching

6- Thou shall take, when one is watching

7- Thou make mess of water bowls, and anythign that can be tipped for
choas is fun, and messes are made to give purpose to the "lesser" beings

8- Thou shall play, giving no regard to time of day or situation for
life is but a game and nothing more.

9-If you can destroy it, Then do so. For if it is easyly destroyed then
it serves no purpose to thee.

10- If thy nips, then thy must run so that one becomes immune to wraith.

these are just the basic of ferretism... however it goes much deeper
then this.
To truely follow the way of ferretism one must become at peace with one
self and learn that the purpose you serve is the purpose you make for
thy self. Like the ferret we must understand that life is ment for
enjoyment at all time. Sin has no meaning for there is no evil. and
goodwil is meaningless for the world is harsh and if one nips...then nip
back... while this may seem agressive, in truth it is not. for just
because one is nipped does not mean that is done out of cruel intent.
often times its a symbol of affection or at worst a symbolic leave me
be. for if one was to draw blood then it would be done with ease. For we
are all here to play, nothing more....nothing less.

Quote - Congrats you bigoted SOB

hmm .. nice

that would be the charitable side coming out in you, would it?

See what religion does to people.

Best not having one, then there is no excuse for bad behaviour.

Kids [sigh] who'd have them!

Kami, I once owned a ferret - thanks for bringing back memories.
Sh#tting in the corner, tearing everything apart, spilling water
everywhere. The ferret was pretty bad, too.

Mike, thanks for making the effort, to have a thread inviting others to
post what their own personal beliefs are. It is a wonderful idea and
genunine in it's intent. Is it possible to post to what one's own
personal belief's are so that we can learn and better understand
eachother and what is important to us all, please.

To those that have posted and shared their personal belief's, thank you.
I was born and raised on a farm and not had the opportunities to
experience or explore the diversity in today's world. I left and spent
many years living in a metropolitan city, way off the farm, lol. I
still have my belief's but always open to learning about other's around
me.

I think that schools should not ignore atheism as a philosophy.

People should have all the options open to them.

If they make a conscious decision to embrace religion then that should
be their choice not have it ingrained in them from an early age

PoetnArtist,

Here's a metaphor (look it up!). A metaphor ISN'T AN INSULT, nor is it
a judgement, nor is it a personal attack!
So please do not reply with your usual susceptible 'I'm rigth! I'm the
only one who's right! And it is a gift to the world that I'm right!

A metaphor is a very useful form of expression, in instances where
normally adequate operative language no longer reaches the person you're
communicating with.

So here we go:

The sense I have, and the images that comes to mind (that's my mind of
course) when I read the numerous posts you are participating in, is that
of a 'puppy'.

'... A BARKING, RUNNING AND PISSING ALL OVER THE FLOOR KIND OF TINY
LITTLE PUPPY'

You find him cute at first, but after a while all the barking the
running and the 'pissing' all over become frankly repetitive and
annoying, and gets the better of you!!!

You see 'poet', a metaphor speak of one's experience of a situation
without attacking anyone in particular.

Who would be silly enough to think for just one moment that you, of all
people would be a 'puppy', or could be compared to one. Of course not.
The metaphor is not evoking 'YOU' as an individual at all. It is rather
evoking the 'SENSATION' one is left with, reading your threads.

Now, believe it or not, I write this message with the most compassionate
of spirit, no insult intended, and in full respect of you as a person.

I trust you will find it within you, to receive this metaphor as a
gift! A way to gain some insight as to the way your style of
communication is perceived in the world, at least from one particular
individual.

Should you take it in your consideration, I'm sure you quickly and
proficiently bring the necessary corrections as you see fit, and come
across much more effectively in the process.
