in order to become an american. you have to take lots of test, i might not no much, but i do no america history. i no some day the government will try to take our guns away, but as my late father use to says, only way is out of my cold dead hands. |

I took a Rifle and Pistol Range class in college when I was younger. I still will never own a gun. I don't want one in the house with my child. I hear "Protect myself" on this thread. A gun in the house with my child says it all for me. Also, if I had a gun, I believe that a burglar would be able to wrestle it from me and turn it on me. I feel that less guns in my city would make my city a better place. The thought of people walking around my city and into buildings with guns scares me. I've told my child that they are not allowed in houses that have guns. but if you have no gun what do you do if you see a snake? Scream, of course. I'm in the city. I've yet to see a dangerous snake in my yard. I've only seen harmless snakes. At my parents' house, there's a huge black snake that hangs out in the yard. When it's warm out.

I grab the wooden sword that's in my room and hide to the left of my doorway. The guy comes after me: as soon as he enters (supposedly his hands are in front of him, so gun first), I swing for his gun, hit, then plow the guy over. First thing: I push my fingers into his eyes, knee him in the crotch. I get up, kick him in the head, then call the police. Yikes, now I can see maybe you doing that, But I sure as heck don't see me plowing some one over. Even if I could momentarily knock him down, even an average sized guy would sit there laughing his ass off. Now what, after he grabs my hand when I am trying to poke his eye out and....... I can't go on, I am laughing too hard. I think that is what you would do and maybe are capable of doing, but I am almost 60 and that ain't gonna cut it. I like, boom, your dead. Much faster... |
