I'm not really sure what you mean there, since all I really stated is that I don't see a point in trying to have a rational conversation with an irrational person. YOU are the APPLE of God's EYE. God KNOWS The HAIRS on your HEAD. He KNOWS the PLANS he has for JUST YOU. Sorry, your invisible friend doesn't do a thing for me. Then GOD SAID,
"Let Us MAKE MAN in OUR IMAGE, in Our LIKENESS....." meaning...God said He SPECIFICALLY CREATED MAN.... and GOD BREATHED LIFE into MAN..ONLY MAN did God do this for.. not for chimps..or any other of His creation!!!! Meaning...God did NOT say He created man AND chimps from some COMMON ancestory..... meaning... God ONLY CREATED MAN in his LIKENESS....and In HIS IMAGE... Meaning... a CHIMP has NO likeness to God..or even to mankind... cause a chimp can't reason ,think, make decisions..ete etc etc...but man CAN.... Well what if god looks like a chimp? Maybe he used chimp to start with and decided to move onto something else. Or maybe he made the chimp but it continued to evolve. Thats no less crazy than the genesis story.

It really doesn’t hurt anything and each individual person can believe what they want of course. The issue and the problem really comes into play when evangelicals decide that they want to take the Theory of Evolution out of the public school system and science curriculum funded by state tax dollars. That’s where they are subjecting innocent children in school to their beliefs which have no scientific basis in reality. The theory of evolution is taught as theory.

Just do a Google search. Or, hell, just pay attention to what people here are telling you for once. I don't know what news your reading but mine does mention whenever new evidence supporting evolution is found. It's regarded as fact in most industrialized nations. America is just overly slow to get on the bandwagon. On another note, why is micro evolution plausible to you but not macro? And why are you picking and choosing which posts to address? Did you even look at Krimsa's post about Lucy? I'm really interested in what you have to say about that. |

Oh she will just say it’s a model. That’s true but it is an artist’s rendition of what they suspect Lucy would have looked like. They use those forensic artists. The same that work for investigative offices when they find the skeletal remains of a body and they have to create an identity. They use those people. Its probably well within an acceptably accurate range. Very often family members are able to recognize those models as their lost loved ones so I would buy that is what australopithecines would have closely resembled about 3 million years back. It’s about halfway in between and clearly becoming more human looking.

Let's see,...
I can believe that God is omniscient and has genuine unconditional love to offer to everyone just as pantheism suggests. Or I can believe that God is a male chauvinist pig who thinks it's cool to nail his only begotten son to a pole just to freak people out. I think I'll stick with panthiesm. If the male chauvinistic freak is our creator then a true miracle has occured since we have evolved above that our creator in both compassion and sanity.  I'll never understand why people are so anxious to denounce the observations make of the real universe in favor of a blood thirsty mythical God who's anxious to cast the vast majority of his creation into a hell fire. It would seem to me that any genuinely sane person would jump at the chance to recognize that such a myth is indeed false. Why would anyone want to believe that our creator goes around having his children nailed to poles just to appease his egotistial jealousy? That's not only absurd but it's truly sick.  Yep, you can't beat pantheism for the most sane and loving picture of a creator. I just can't understand why people are so anxious to support a picture of a hateful God who casts the overwhelming majority of his creation into a hell fire. And there can be no doubt about it that this is precisely what the myth claims. During the Great Flood the biblical God flushed the bulk of humanity over to Satan. Then later in the New Testament it is claimed that the path is straight and the gate is narrow and few will make it into the kingdom of heaven. So clearly the bulk of God's created souls go to hell. It's a loser God according to the mythology. There's just no two ways about it. Pantheism, on the other hand, is a picture of God where NO ONE IS LOST. NO ONE MorningSong. Nary a One! It's truly a divine picture of a God who had genuine unconditional love to offer to EVERYONE. Sorry that you've chosen such a loser picture for God. I hope She isn't insulted when you show Her what you thought She was like. Although, I'm sure She'll just laugh and greet you with open arms and say, "Don't worry MorningSong, I'm nowhere near that mean".

i look at creationism the same way i look at all the other magical myths.
its silly really. creationism and other similar ideas did a great job of giving men peace of mind when they lacked the means to answer it. now as we fine tune our science - we don't need "placeholder answers" like these anymore... holding on to them is just silly. -- -- -- -- < < this thread was completely typed me. no copy-paste here > >

Have 'trust' in your 'faith' for yourself Morningsong. I wish Christians would have a little faith in God. Unfortuanetly they don't trust God at all. They think it's up to them to 'save' people and that God would let those souls go to hell because GOD DOESN'T CARE. That's what Christians obviously believe. They have absolutely no faith in God whatsoever. |
