yep. don't jump head-first into the weirder stuff...go slow, set
goals...take a favorite dish and de-meat it...like lasagna!
or...spaghetti...

fresh herbs enhance flavor even better...

if you use soy, use the right brand. most taste like ****...morningstar
farms puts out quite a few well-made substitutes that are pretty easy to
use.

To the poster that stated MJ has more toxins in its smoke than
ciggerettes.

Hello... Cig's are smoked (usually) through a FILTER. If you put pot
through the same filter it will reduce the amount of dangerous smoke to
the same levels as a cig. DUH!

Nothing like comparing apples to oranges to try and make a point.

As far as 'pleasure receptors'... I don't like the high from MJ. It
alters my perception of reality. I like my perception of reality.
However once I get past the initial 2 hours or so the high wears off.
More important the pain in my joints goes away and STAYS gone for
several days. You tell me of a non invasive drug currently on the
market for arthritus that can do that without side effects.

I can only do this about once a year cause I have to worry about drug
tests and stupid laws.

Put that in your pipe and smoke it.

Even if you don't like the high, the short term memory receptors are
still being built. For instance, I don't like the taste or effect of
alcohol so I don't drink it. But if I did drink it, I would build
chemo-receptors that respond with a "pleasure" signal every time
thereafter that I did drink it.

So, even if you psychologically hate the effect of marijuana, you are
physically building receptors that do like it when you smoke it.

As for the joint pain, I can't say whether it's the marijuana or not
because this stuff can work differently for everyone. I highly doubt
that marijuana has any intrinsic properties that help make the pain go
away; it's probably psychological. Besides, even things like advil,
tylenol, bayer, and alieve do not heal you.

In fact, when you take tylenol it actually slows down the healing
process. When joints hurt or when your head aches, it is the bodies
natural way of letting you know that something is wrong and needs to be
fixed (or is in the process of being fixed). Taking tylenol (which is
just like smoking marijuana) only masks the pain for a short time and
does not help you actually get better. When you have a fever, for
example, Tylenol will make your body take longer to get rid of it.
Tylenol and things like it are unnatural and unnecessary.

Anyway, this is all completely beside the point because we discussed
earlier and mostly agreed that even if marijuana was terrible for you,
you should still be legally allowed to smoke it. In principle it's no
different than rat poison, alcohol, or anything else. The government
lets people poison their minds all day with junk on TV. Why can't a
person smoke marijuana if that's what he wants to do to his own body.

How can you possibly claim my best releif from pain is phycological?
Are you a doctor? Have you taken part in MJ experiments? What is your
source for your claims?

Have you ever had truama induced degenerative arthritus? The pain can
be at times OVERWHELMING. Tylonal, asperin and other OTC drugs have no
effect on it. The only thing that helps is shots of cortizone (which
only last a few days and HURT LIKE HELL) or a shot that lasts a week
(they claim it helps for 30 days)and they put in your back (HURTS LIKE
HELL ALSO).

Give me a reference to check out your 'facts'.

I know this stuff is unlawful, but our guilt in thinking
right or wrong is what stresses me out. I geuss stress isn't
healthy for anyone. I geuss if you were true to yourself and
felt comfortable with god knowing. Its not like I can hide from
him.

KosmoJoe, Be true to yourself! Where does the guilt come from? Other
people's opinions, prejudices? Or an awareness within you of 'the best
course of action'?

the right to free speech isnt allowed in many parts of the world because
it is the "law of the land"...does that mean that when you voice your
opinion it is illegal, and therefore against God??

come on everyone, ganja is good for everyone...if you havent already
figured it out, many people you deal with day-to-day smoke up...there is
nothing wrong with it, except for the fact that some people just cant
control their usage...

there are also many ways and loop holes in law with which you can
technically keep a joint on you...at least thats how it is here in
Toronto...truth is, no one really cares if we smoke weed...its not like
I'm killing or robbing someone to get it...yes there are people out
there who do kill for even a dime bag of weed, but thats just a few
individuals...people kill for money, jewelry and diamonds, much more
than ganja....

so whos really to judge whats right and wrong here except for God...man
always finds some way to excuse what he does, kind of like how I'm
excusing myself for blazing and breaking the "law" LOL...but there are
many forms of legalized extortion with which the gov't milks you for
every penny they can, leaving you with just enough to get by in
life...hmmmm, i say follow the ten commandments that God gave to Prophet
Moses, and we will all live peacefully...

P.S. -- why dont they make adultery illegal, doesn't that cause
significantly more damage psychologically, sometimes even driving people
to commit murder???....or even fornication...just something to think
about..

All of the "intelligent" species on the planet alter their reality.
Primates especially. By eating fermented fruits, hallucinogenic seeds
from plants, etc..

In my opinion if alcohol is legal marijuana should be as well. Besides,
marijuana has actual medicinal purposes unlike alocohol. Ask anyone
going through chemotherapy or radiation treatments for cancer.

{{{{bored}}}}

My youngest daughter had leukemia & it was a rough road, but she
survived. She endured numerous rounds of I.V. chemo & was on oral
chemotherapy for almost 2 years. The prescription medication they gave
her did nothing to help the nausea. There were many, many times she
could not eat & if she did, it didn't stay down for long. I was never
much of a "smoker", but that was the one thing that helped her. She
would just sit near me as I would "smoke" a little & it would calm her
tummy & make her able to keep food down. So I guess when I "smoked"
(which I no longer do), it was truly for medicinal purposes only & not
for myself, but for my wonderful, precious daughter.
