Do you ever have a hard time saying No?

I was approached by my teacher today asking if I would mind doing the school newsletter. And like some sort of idiot I said,"sure." Then she she went on to tell me that it needs to be done by early this week. I am at this point thinking to myself WTF! This week is only a three day school week, with a two day long exam happening on Monday and Tuesday, and this needs to be done by this week? DANG I know how to get myself into some tight situations.


So what about you? Are you a yes person or a no person?

I have had to learn to say NOOOO. Too used to saying yes.

People know better than to ask me to do anything. If I like you, I'll proofread and edit stuff for you. If I REALLY like you, I'll name a character after you. That's about as far as I go.

I'm on a different computer right now. I did reactivate my old e-mail address (the one I used before the current one) so I should be able to access the IM through that again. Just have to set it up.

I never deleted the old one. Too many memories on that one. Right now sadly enough I am the only one on my friends list on Yahoo....

I think the biggest reason people can't say no is they are afraid they are going to hurt the person's feelings or disappoint them.

Once you can get past that part and realize that you are only putting yourself out by saying yes all the time, you can say no to pretty much anything.

You know you are right. I was given the articles to put in the newsletter, and was told that I did not need to use all of them, but I just can't bring myself to leave anybody. Most of them were written by my fellow students and children under 11. One article is a conversation between a 2.5 year old and her mom about smoking.

That would be nice.
