Deep in the mines many jewels and gems glitter and shine
A single precious stone, rough around the edges, full of flaws and
cracks
Glitters and shines so differently than the rest
Unique, rare...nothing like the rest
So precious no mere man may possess it
He must be strong of character, physical strength is a must, faithful
above all others, yet gentle enough to cradle this precious stone in his
hands
Holding it tightly so it may not slip away
Yet gently enough not to smother nor crush it
Proudly wear it for all the world to see
Never shutting it away to increase its worth
For when this precious stone hits the light its value increases tenfold
So he must let her shine for all she is worth
Do not lock her in the vaults, shutting her away for his pleasure only
Share her beauty, for in those flaws and cracks the light is held and
reflected
Shining outward lighting his way in the dark
Treasure her as you have treasured no other
For she is the rarest jewel of them all...
