brutally honest , even if it hurts. cant be/ wont be any other way. i do
this for me, not for you, for my peace of mind, my self respect, my
pride.

in the end the only one who i need to be truthful to is me, i know that
when i find that certian someone (wink, wink)_ that obviously
truthfulness to her as well will be my concern, it will not detour me
from right over wrong. i love her, and respect her, but again it is the
for me, the honesty thats in me. damn did i just say like the same thing
eighteen times or what, i hate being redundant.

Thats a lame ass excuse that the guy used. Lying is lying and it says a
ton about the person. If he lied right of the bat like that with such
ease, it makes me wonder how much more lying would happen if you really
got to know him.

OP-Probably better that you found out now rather than later. Lying is
Lying though. (Hope I spelled that right; I always confuse lying and
lieing.)

Oh of course. Ol' Doctor man sure didn't count on the fact my mom works
in the same department, though. I told him, "You must think I'm STUPID
or something." Geesh.

Another point-Withholding information might be construed as being safe.
Lying is just lying. It's always gonna catch up with you sooner or
later.

(By the way, GAmail, it's spelled the same way. No such thing as
"lieing."

"Lying" as in teling an untruth and "lying" as in lying down.

Lying is used to describe an action of a person or an object in its
present state, as in "She is lying down" or "the book is lying on the
floor."

Laying is used to describe an action being done to something or someone,
as in "He is laying brick" or "I will lay the blanket down on the
floor."

Lying takes the past tense of "lain" and laying takes the past tense of
"laid."

Probably more than u wanted to know.)

There is no argument for telling lies, I belive some people do it
because they want to present themselves as more of there ideal of what
attractive is...and get caught up in the cycle of doing so. Leading to
failure in almost any situation they are in.

Thanks, sass...but, to be honest with you, I'm somewhat "used to" being
lied to by men...since, at least in my experience over the last 30-plus
years, it's happened so much.

And I know this has nothing to do with me...IOW, if a man lies to me,
I'm sure he's lying to everyone else, as well.

Women do it, too, I'm know. I think honesty is becoming a thing of the
past for a lot of people. For many, there is no sense of accountability,
no sense of right from wrong, and even parents these days are not
holding their children responsible for their actions, nor teaching them
what is and what is not "acceptable behavior."

Well, I said I'm used to it...I'm really not. It's depressing and
hurtful every time it happens. What I meant to say, I guess, is that I'm
to the point where I "expect" it, because it happens "all" the time.

There is no excuse or giving a second chance when it comes to lying in
that extreme no way to start off a relationship based on lies no way for
it to even get any farther for you would never be able to trust them
again at least would be pretty hard to trust them if they start off with
lies. I know I could never trust them the same.noway noway noway
