I dont care who left the mess. Its left. I care about how its going to get fixed and focusing on I inherited these problems doesnt solve anything. Bushs name shouldnt be brought up in any conversation on fixing the problem wether he caused them or not.

No matter who left the mess, it's not going to be fixed overnight. Or in a few months.

I know its not going to get fixed over night I never said it was.

Get off the hate Bush bandwagon he is gone.
This isnt about him. Its about our new president. And IMO delgateing to much and not steping up to the plate and being a leader!

Obama hasn't been on job long. I'm giving him a chance. I gave Bush that same chance.

I know he hasnt been on the job long but he needs to give geithner help, and let him focus alone on the stimulas and take the rest away. Just letting him deal with all he has to will just lead to failure. When he himself says Geithner has a lot on his plate should he lighten his load? I mean trillions of dollars is a lot to deal with in of itself. Look at AIG "no one knew the bonus thing was in there? Give me a break somebody had to wright it!

Bush let the problem go so long no one wants to be associated with the mess.

Geithner didn't want the job. They can't get him any assistants because no one else wants the job either. Who would want that job?

Again off the hate Bush bandwagon.
Congress were the ones who told Fanny and Freddie to make toxic loans, not Bush.
If Geithner didnt want the job then why didnt he say NO?

Bush was the best thing since sliced bread!!!!!drinker drinker Now wasnt that a republican congress?

the last 3 have been majority dem. Barney Frank has been in their pocket for years and was the main one stoping republicans from putting more regulation on fanny and freddie.

110th-DEM
109th REP
108th-REP
107th-DEM
106th-REP
104th-REP
103rd-DEM

All numbers. If you add in the # of so called "moderate conservatives" (liberals). You can swing it towards liberal.
And I think President Bush worked more and listened to the "other side" than President Obama ever will (well he hasnt shown any incline on even the slightest in what conservatives have to say), JMO.

For 6 of the 8 yrs Bush was in office the Republicans had a majority. Bush didn't use a Presidential veto one time.

Only the last two years did the Democrats have a 5 member majority and Bush used a Presidential veteo more than 2 dozen time.

I have confidence that Obama will do better. He just got started.
I've been pleased with watching him keeping his promises.

i think TJN is trying to say....a good leader would delegate work to people. we have already had a big problem with the whole AIG thing and he hasn't been in office that long

It amazes me how I started a thread about what Obama's vision is for our country. And in my opinion he isnt being a leader but more a delegator. There was no reason for Bush to be brought up in it at all.

Hmmm makes me wonder if deep down all you Obama supporters are fearing what is happening, cause all you say is Bush this and Bush that.

Give me your opinions on what you think Obama should do.

(this is where you say he is keeping his promises and hes only just got in office and he inherited all this from Bush)

A good leader would jump in and take charge instead of delegating when times are tough or saying it's not my fault....who cares. you want the job...fix it. at least show an effort

Seems the AIG mess started with that other guy. The problem is people with any sense dont want anything to do with it. Hell they can get millions of $$$$$$ in bonus's running a company in the ground. Who wants to work for a couple hundred thousand dollars when you can make millions for performing bad!!!!! I would take the millions every time!

Isnt that capitalism????? YOUR bottom line!

“I’m proud that we passed the recovery plan free of earmarks, and I want to pass a budget next year that ensures that each dollar we spend reflects only our most important national priorities,” Obama said.

how about doing away with some of the earmarks that he has planned

Obama=Working for bankers. Bush=Working for bankers.

There are cosmetic differences, but they push the same end game.

I would take the job, but they don't want to hire someone who believes in constitutional limitations on government power.

That line alone means I'd support you to take the job... LOL! Besides that, I bet you know how to balance your checkbook.

The bonus's were left in the bail out AIG got by Sen. Dodd. Everyone from the President on down the line line in the dem party were bashing AIG for giving the bonus's but they were the ones who let them have them. Maybe if they would read a bill they wrote before they passed it the bonuses wouldnt have been payed out. Oh yea Obama and Dodd received money for their campains from AIG what a coincidence

How did they "let" them give out the bonuses? Why doesn't AIG bear any responsibility in this to you?

I am surrounded by people that voted for Obama. I voted for him too. None of us consider him to be the savior of this country. He is a man, flaws and all, that we considered to be the best candidate for the job.
