Wandering child on Salem street leads police to pot grow
12:41 PM PDT on Thursday, March 26, 2009 By DAVID KROUGH, kgw.com Staff SALEM, Ore. -- A 5-year-old boy found wandering a street in Salem led police to his parents -- and a marijuana growing operation early Thursday morning, investigators said. Police said after a call they found the boy wearing a T-shirt and underwear on the 1900 block of State Street around 4 a.m. Officers were led to a home on Chemeketa St NE, where they interviewed the boy’s parents, 31-year-old Justin Brunson and his wife 37-year-old Lisa Brunson. They said they were unaware the boy had left the house. During the investigation police said they smelled ”fresh, green marijuana,” and found five mature, budded plants, growing equipment, paraphernalia and two loaded guns. The two were arrested for making, possessing and delivering drugs, and endangering the welfare of a minor. Police said the child was left with relatives |

Gee... Only five plants? Massachusetts sure thinks big. kids get up at odd hours. They at four years old can figure out a lock on a door. Only five plants?
Such a big bust. Why didn't they bust up a Meth lab instead? |

I am more concerned with the fact that the parents didn't know he left the house at 4am. I could care less about the pot plants or a meth lab for that matter.
The police found the pot while returning the boy home so that was just a bonus... |

They were stoned...that's why they didn't know. Who's to say that some of the other child goings on were not parents that were drunk or high ?
Pot, meth...drugs people. All drugs. From a former pot smoker and meth user...give me a joint..it wounl't be long til other crap gets used. I liked the high so much....that when another drug was said to be even better...I just had to try it. I mean...what the heck? Liked it even better. If I wasn't high, I was tweekin.(meth or coke) Maybe even both.It didn't matter, although I preferred meth. Then when it dried up...I drank. One high for another. Kat |
