what is wrong with this guy we elected into office ..i can understand the bail out of AIG but it was evident that the car companies were gonna start looking at bankruptcy..

..turn the company around in 60 days ..maybe it has become clear enough..so listen up obama ..the PEOPLE dont have the money to buy cars ..if it werent due to the fact of the rip off by bernie madoff made possible by the lack of oversight by the sec

..than its the fact that they were ripped off of their home equity by the banks due again by lack of oversight by our own government..and since approx 60% of ones wealth is in their homes do you really think that these little stimulis payments are gonna turn things around...

so once again let me reiterate "the people have no money"..most have gone into hoard mode because they know this situation could get worse before it gets better ..but hey buy a car ..

now you want to raise the taxes on cigarettes and claim to want to put the money towards childrens health..the childrens health part is a ploy just to gain the populations cooperation in pulling off this descrimination towards the smokers..now non-smokers will agree with this until they see something they like taxed to hell until only the welll off can afford it ..

..but still the question remains where do all the homeowners go to get the equity they lost to these banks due to fraud, clearly they have a case fraud has already been proven no need for a class action lawsuit where the lawyers get most of the money...what line do these homeowners stand in to receive their checks..

perhaps the numbers are too astronomical to calculate and that is why still no word as to where these homeowners go to get the money that was ripped off by the banks and lack of oversight by the government...

now you want to go green on the white house and in your words show the american public how easy it is..need i remind you "THE PEOPLE HAVE NO MONEY" and certainly not an endless supply that we can command printed up at our whim ...

so if madoff hasnt ripped us off,or the banks taken our equity, the government spends it as it sees fit and still tHings are SUPPOSE to get better when "the people have no money"..i got an idea how about a new deal..we'll call it the trickle up effect ..and thats where we give people the money that everyone has ripped off FIRST..

..so if its not bad enough that our own government is culpable but refuses to address the loss of equity by homeowners or that the SEC didnt do their jobs, did the SEC get paid and how can they not have noticed that during all the time that bernie madoff was running his ponzi scheme he never bought ONE stock, but instead put the money in a bank....what a phuckin joke..too bad its not funny at all...

most of these problems were in place before obama took office as far as the lack of oversight ,..i'm just really pissed bthat they are gonna raise the taxes on cigarettes from 39 cents to 1.01....

but the fact that a car company can really do anything in a recession is ridiculus, especially when looming over head is bankruptcy like that is gonna gain any consumer confidence to buy a car..or the fact that alot of peoples credit to debt ratio was effected by the loss of equity due to the ripoof of the banks and lack of oversight once again ..and cant get a loan

if people with AIG didnt get their bonuses, what about bonuses that were given to anyone else that was culpable

but still the question looms..why hasnt anyone filed suit against these banks to get the homeowners money back..after all it was fraud .

i have to agree i just had surgury a few weeks ago it cost $20,453.00
it will take me 10 years to pay it off...and i am going back to school and even though i am in the poverty level i can't get no grants to help so i have to get loans to go back to school...it is a no win for people right now and yes i am saving what i can for security..and cutting back on what ever i can to survive..i am just happy i have ajob right now but even one of those is being cut back..even my senior citizen group are trying to survive most of them are on social security and the meals i serve them is sometimes the only thing they eat in a day because they have to pay $100's of dollars a month for medicines to stay alive...so it don't matter if you are young or old we are screwed..

Funny how Junior Bush was in office for 8 YEARS, yet the Bushies like to say to let history judge him. And now Obama has been in office a little over 2 MONTHS and everybody is passing judgment already.

And so it goes.

Wasn't it Bush who de regulated the banks in the first place? Isn't the banks that lent money to people knowing full well they couldn't afford it/ Wasn't it the people who wanted the "american dream" of having a home go to those banks? wasn't it those same people who took loans with out reading the fine print and also knew they were over extended? Maddoff took billions.. but from the rich mostly. those that wanted more and thought they saw easy way to make more?.

Sure most people can not go out and buy a new car. But it isn't it the fault of the auto makers who make cars so exspensive in the first place General Motors was called Generous motors for years Hmmm wonder why? and now the unions are crying the blues about the way things are? didn't they want more also in their greed, causing the price of cars to go higher and higher. And the auto makers continue to make Nostaglic models of muscle cars or 50's styles?

And if the government raised taxes on cigs? so what you want cancer or emphysema then you pay for it. Not me the non smoker as you pass it on to kids you smoke next to. I would like him to raise taxes on Liquer and beer too. And maybe just maybe someday people will stop being greedy.thing if given a chance to make some money ..

there is always more to this mess then meets the eye as they say... at least he is doing something He didn't give Gm or Chrysler any more money to waste. And if the go belly up? or bankruptcy. So be it.. If you were in their spot what would your options be? you would be filing bankruptcy wouldn't you?. okay rant over

from the very first day bush was elected i was saying he was an idiot..i gave obama 2 months ..so i am lightening up a bit,no judgement passed i just think he needs to see in this economy with lack of loans and loss of money its hard for a car company to turn around..i gave him the same amount he is giving to the car companies..after all fair is fair ...

durty duck ..the taxes being raised on smokers is nothing more than descrimination ,second i didnt get one of those loans mine is a fixed loan like so many who were on neither side of those contracts and lost money..and so its ok to fraud people out of money as long as they are rich is your answer rather closed minded arent we,and what about all those charities that lost money i guess thats ok ..or is it just the rich ..
lack of oversight with the money spent on the war,the sec with bernie madoff, lack of oversight with the home loans ..i dont fault obama for these gbecause tose were already in place,,but what i dont see is how he can expect people to just start buying cars when we have been ripped off and cant get loans ..

its funny how alot of peole who say dont blame me i voted for mccain had also voted for bush..

now on a more personal note ..my rant will be over when and if i say so ..GOT IT!

not everyone was wise enough to get the right type of loan. not everyone was treated fairly, and yes house prices and equity have fallen through the bottom. Just how long did anyone think it would continue to rise? I for one felt sooner or later it would fall apart. I too have a mortgage and make my payments on a fixed loan. But I have no sympathy for anyone who went to Maddoff. Charities or not they were looking to make even more through him. That is just greed.

Maybe it is discrimination to smokers , but I said they should also raise taxes on drinkers too. And any other thing that will promote someone to think twice about their health. That's why a lot people can't get decent health insurance coverage . The costs to treat what happens to them from years of use. I don't agree with the money being spent on the war. I don't agree that no control is better over banks or sec. I don't fault Obama for this mess I fault the people who were greedy. and abused it People like Bank of America even gave credit cards to illegal aliens. I personally think its about time someone stood up for the people of america and not big business. Have you ever written your senators, congressman etc. I do and call too. What do you get back? a standard form letter stating yada yada yada about what they are doing. But no real answers. as for the rant being over? that was for me. not you. but then again a little back and forth of ideas is what makes this country great

More people will have money if the car plants are saved. Thousands are now unemployed in my city due to a car plant closing. The area where the car plant closed is now going downhill. This area loses taxes. The restaurants, gas stations and stores are losing clients.
Unemployment runs out and homes foreclose. It would be nice to see those thousands working and having money again.

I do see both sides of the situation.

I am a smoker. Yeah, they raised taxes. Those extra $6.00 dollars for a carton isn't going to hurt me. But..the cigs are hurting me. Maybe it's time for me to quit.
