ICE Agents Arrest 28 Illegal Workers in Bellingham

February 24, 2009 (Bellingham, Wash.) - ICE agents arrested 28 foreign nationals on administrative immigration violations at a local engine manufacturing company. ICE initiated the investigation after the arrest of a criminal illegal alien who had previously worked at the company. Further investigation of the company's hiring records revealed that some workers may have obtained employment using false Social Security numbers and other counterfeit identity documents. The illegal workers will be placed in deportation proceedings. Of the 28, 25 are Mexican nationals, one was Salvadoran, one Guatemalan and one Honduran.

did the employer know??? are they doing something about those people that hired them?

Don't know. DHS is only showing token results.
Over the last few months there have been no real actions taken.

Usually the employers not only know but they help get the forged documents half the time.

i am sure that most employers know....but what punishment do they get for it? maybe if they get fined heavy or something, they would think twice

There is a big push going on for Amnesty. Foot in the door is called the Dream Act. Over the last several years, it has been nixed. BHO's puppet, Pelosi has just called for Amnesty and the Dream Act is being processed right now.

why bother having immigration laws then?
