I think BHO is doing a pretty good job at failing onhis own merit. We just able to see the pacification to keep the Libs content.

Keep it up Willing. This type of post is exactly what keeps the anger fueled. It serves no purpose but to add to the anger. I am suprised that you wouldn't know that at your age.

There's no need to attack or accuse.
We all, for the time being, have every right to our opinion.
And like the man said, some of us actually fought for you to be able to dis us.

Just as you accuse liberals of being pacified and using pictures to enforce your opinion, expect I might find that childish of a man your age.

I, along with many others will continue to fight to ensure you keep your right to your opinion.

Boo, Please understand that I was not insulting or criticizing your post in any negative way. I was only commenting about your fears of signing on to mingle because of all the unrest and comments against present affairs.

Never think I would make an issue personal, I would never intentionaly do so. My point was to say "don't ever let that stop you from coming here" only.

Please forgive my unclarity

I could have been a bit more clear myself Sojourning, I won't let my own fear of the level of anxiety keep me from coming here, just admiting that it does scare me and adds to my own anxiety over our current situation. I just wanted to be more clear about what I meant by what I said. I was trying to do two things at once, that should teach me to take a bit more time, so that my words aren't misunderstood either. flowerforyou

I'm neither left or right and couldn't tell you the difference, don't care. I'm simply an AMERICAN, a veteran and a patriot (under constitutional standards), don't care much about what others think of me one way or the other, as long as I am not falsely accused of something without evidence or proof. My right to believe as I see fit, I have fought for and earned.

Party affiliations mean nothing to a person who votes their convictions and beliefs. I'm not a follower, I have a conscience, and I will adhere to my belief of what is right or wrong until I am shown to be mistaken in my belief. Actions and evidence always speak louder than words.

WASHINGTON – President Barack Obama declared on tax-filing day that he aims to take the dread out of deadline day. Obama said at a White House event Wednesday that he's working toward "a simpler tax code that rewards work and the pursuit of the American dream."

"For too long, we've seen taxes used as a wedge to scare people into supporting policies that increased the burden on working people instead of helping them live their dreams," Obama said. "That has to change, and that's the work that we've begun."

Obama also met at the White House with several working families to mark April 15 — known notoriously as file-or-else day — and underscore his efforts to make the tax code more fair and less complex.

He noted April 15 "isn't exactly everyone's favorite date on the calendar." But Obama said the day is a reminder to leaders in Washington that they have a responsibility to the people who elected them.

The president noted that he's asked his economic advisers to thoroughly review how to simplify the tax code and report back to him by year's end.

"We need to simplify a monstrous tax code that is far too complicated for most Americans to understand, but just complicated enough for the insiders who know how to game the system," Obama said.

He added: "It will take time to undo the damage of years of carve-outs and loopholes. But I want every American to know that we will rewrite the tax code so that it puts your interests over any special interest. And we will make it quicker, easier, and less expensive for you to file a return, so that April 15 is not a date that is approached with dread each year."

This is a good thing no? Does it not show the man is listening? Or do we just hate his guts for everything I wonder. Sure seems like it lately, in fact it scares me to even come into Mingle these days. So many people angry and ready to fight anything that moves.

Aren't you generalizing people? What you are basically saying, that anyone who disagrees certain steps the government makes nowadays "must hate Obama's guts" ?

I posted it to counter the belief that we are all "right wing extremists" as Homeland Security define those who dare to criticize the current administration. I posted it as good step from the administration.
Now you wonder, if Obama would have made this step of there aren't protests today about the Tax.

I think it's dangerous NOT to question our government, and our religions and corporations etc etc. I have no problem with that.

Actually I am quite sick of this whole right wing left wing extremist thing, there are extremists everywhere and they are what worries me. Extremists don't often listen well, and can make matters far worse than they actually are.

Again I worry about the tone, the anger in peoples words that cause extremists to get even more extreme.

I hope the protests are civil and nonviolent. I hope that this administration takes it seriously and addresses the concerns. Please don't assume that I am against anyone. I am against violence, and against political interests using this to 'cause' failure for their own purposes.

I am not against what people are protesting for, it's their rigth and I am the last person to want to see that taken away.

These protest were very small!

Very small!
