the current US government? The Debt? Gun laws? Tax Code? Changes in general? Are we what he had in mind over two hundred years ago?

Considering he was for the separation of church and state I am sure he would be shocked that the religious are governing who can marry in this country.

If he knew what we know today I am sure he would be a middle liberal.

could be

i would guess slightly left moderate myself

Just about the same right?

I have no doubt that he would be overjoyed that we were the last superpower, copied and envied by many, and all of that. But after he had time to get over the cultural shock, what would he think about the debt, the gun laws, the intrusion into personal freedoms? Is the US constitution, which is mostly the same today as then, working the way it was intended by the people who wrote it, or has the intent been twisted?

If he were a sane man, I would think he would take into account our society and the population today and realize we need some balance between legal responsible gun ownership and out right insanity of guns being used to kill in the streets today. The population of his time was far less. I just think we live too much in the past and not enough in the NOW.

One of great mistakes people make is not learning from their past. Our history is what made us ... us. The ideals of the declaration of independence and the US constitution are as much us today as us two hundred years ago. Some of the battles being fought in courts today over the meaning of the constitution could be cleared up in a heartbeat by someone from that period. There were many documents written that described how armed citizens were necessary to protect the nation from excessive governmental power, the minimalist approach to taxation and any interference in private business or citizen's rights.
