I was just told by my mother that the reason my oldest brother shunned me for months now is because my best friend is a gay man.
And then had the balls to tell me he isn't ignorant. If that's what being a Christian is than I don't want any part of it.

I'm glad he's a Christian. Afterall, admitting you are Christian is the same as admitting you are so imperfect as to need to rely on God and Christ to constantly forgive you for your sins against God and your fellow man, and to admit you have so much to learn. So, your turn to try to be a good Christian and forgive your brother.

No I don't think that'll help. These Christian aren't that enlightened. They are judgmental, ignorant and rude. And honestly, it hurts to admit it but after 24 yrs of those people shoving their ideals and beliefs down my throat I finally realized that I have no respect for them at all.
My brother is a 36 yr old man with 4 children and if he chooses to be ignorant and stupid about something that is, in all fairness, none of his business. I'm so friggin mad, and what's worse is that I'm hurt by this. He has no right to do that to me, and my mother certainly has no right in telling me I'm wrong here. |
