Whatever happened to sitting in the sun? My tanning place is a 360 degree veiw of paradise...no bulbs required.... ....solar powered!!! 
When you are short on time like I am, tanning beds are awesome. I haven't seen sun in 2.5 years though and I got burnt on both sides in 7 minutes flat  You can tan your whole body including the places the sun don't shine, don't have to worry about farmer's tans, and it's private and don't have to worry about people watching you.

Tanning beds take 15 mins compared to hours in the sun. And they have fans in there 
Call me lazy if you wish 
like quiet said...it's cooler to do that than in the Texas sun

With the air-brush tan NO sunburn. I guess you just have to worry if you are allergic to the tan being sprayed on. Never have heard of that happening.

Guess what? Yes, you guessed it, I am burnt. Shouldn't they tell us when they do this so we don't stay in there too long?

I think that is a min pin in your pic and the min pins can be burnt with too much sun!!! Their hair is thin. |

Same thing happened to me
 I went it for the first time in a while for 15 minutes - came out a nice color. Went back a week later for the same time, got a different machine and burnt places I forgot could be burnt! I will ask every time now.

I agree, but where I live there are no "chain" tanning places. Just privately owned. I did however mention it when I left. |

I agree, but where I live there are no "chain" tanning places. Just privately owned. I did however mention it when I left. I go to private ones here, it depends on the people that work there.. Some are there biding time to get a pay check and some actually care.... |

Is my eyes messed up? See, I have seen many women before and after their tan, and I don't see any improvement when they do have their skin darken. Now, that isn't me saying that I prefer whiter skin on women, because I think women of darker colour is equally beautiful as women with pale complexion.
