The Armor of God
10Finally, be strong in the Lord and in his mighty power. 11Put on the
full armor of God so that you can take your stand against the devil's
schemes. 12For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against
the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this dark
world and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms.
13Therefore put on the full armor of God, so that when the day of evil
comes, you may be able to stand your ground, and after you have done
everything, to stand. 14Stand firm then, with the belt of truth buckled
around your waist, with the breastplate of righteousness in place, 15and
with your feet fitted with the readiness that comes from the gospel of
peace. 16In addition to all this, take up the shield of faith, with
which you can extinguish all the flaming arrows of the evil one. 17Take
the helmet of salvation and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word
of God. 18And pray in the Spirit on all occasions with all kinds of
prayers and requests. With this in mind, be alert and always keep on
praying for all the saints.

19Pray also for me, that whenever I open my mouth, words may be given
me so that I will fearlessly make known the mystery of the gospel, 20for
which I am an ambassador in chains. Pray that I may declare it
fearlessly, as I should.

God Bless.............

This is what was quoted as having come from the bible.

10Finally, be strong in the Lord and in his mighty power. 11Put on the
full armor of God so that you can take your stand against the devil's
schemes.
THIS IS A CHANGE (NOT ONE JOT OR TITTLE)
should read(10 finally my brethern, be strong in the Lord, and in the
power of his might. 11 Put on the whole armour of God that ye may be
able to stand against the wiles of the devil)

AND AGAIN
12For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the
rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this dark world
and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms.
and the bible says
(12For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against
principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of
this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places.)

THE WORST ONE
16In addition to all this, take up the shield of faith, with which you
can extinguish all the flaming arrows of the evil one.

IT ACTUALLY READS
16 Above all, taking the shield of faith, wherewith ye shall be able to
quench all the fiery darts of the wicked.

This is a vast difference ABOVE ALL not in addition to. Above all means
BEFORE YOU DO ANY OF THE ABOVE THINGS you must take up the sheild of
faith not in addition to the these things but BEFORE YOU DO ANYTHING
ELSE take up faith.

There is also a vast differnce between the words 'the evil one' and the
words 'the wicked'.

I say unto you NOT ONE JOT OR ONE TITTLE. Who then has schemes?

God said: Let there be light,
And there was light.
God said: Let there be night,
And there was night...

God said take charge of my zoo
I made these creatures for you;
So he won't mind if we
Wipe out a species or two...

God made us the boss
God gave us the cross
We turned it into a sword
To spread the word of the Lord
We use His holy decrees
To do whatever we please.

AdventureBegins,

The Bible was originally in Hewbrew, Aramaic and Greek. Since most
people don't read those languages, they were translated into English.
Each translation has sightly different wording. But what is important
IS NOT the words, it's the meaning. You seem to be of a Pharisee
mindset, because you have recently become obcessed with the law. What
is important is that we understand the spirit of the Law, so that we can
know how to please our Lord. Luckily, we have the Word, our conscience
and the Holy Spirit to guide us in understanding the Law.

John 1:17
------------------------------------------------------------
For the law was given by Moses, [but] grace and truth came by Jesus
Christ.
------------------------------------------------------------

Romans 4:16
------------------------------------------------------------
Therefore [it is] of faith, that [it might be] by grace; to the end the
promise might be sure to all the seed; not to that only which is of the
law, but to that also which is of the faith of Abraham; who is the
father of us all,
------------------------------------------------------------

Romans 5:20
------------------------------------------------------------
Moreover the law entered, that the offence might abound. But where sin
abounded, grace did much more abound:
------------------------------------------------------------

Rom 6:14-15
------------------------------------------------------------
For sin shall not have dominion over you: for ye are not under the law,
but under grace. What then? shall we sin, because we are not under the
law, but under grace? God forbid.
------------------------------------------------------------

Galatians 2:21
------------------------------------------------------------
I do not frustrate the grace of God: for if righteousness [come] by the
law, then Christ is dead in vain.
------------------------------------------------------------

Galatians 5:4
------------------------------------------------------------
Christ is become of no effect unto you, whosoever of you are justified
by the law; ye are fallen from grace.

Spider you quote me quotes and more quotes yet none of them addressed
the MEAT of what I said.

NOT ON JOT OR ONE TITTLE.

and yet this quote that is posted at the front of this thread IS CHANGED
FROM THE BIBLE I HAVE.

Should it be changed year by year.

I say unto you NOT ONE JOT OR ONE TITTLE till his will be done.

DO YOU KNOW WHAT HIS WILL IS. Not his will for you and I (You have
quoted your belief on that many times). His will as far as the bible is
concerned.

Don't equate me with your quoting of laws from the lips to a Parasee,
they also quoted to His Holiness Christ from their lips.

Deuteronomy is an exellant book, the first book I ever read and there is
nothing wrong with knowing the Law, I just prefer the NIV over the KJ.

AlpineRocks,

My point is two fold.

1) The Bible is translated. The words have changed, but the spirit is
the same.

2) Christians aren't under law, we are under Grace. We obey the law to
please God, not because we will be punished if we don't.

AdventureBegins has been pounding on translations / the Law, which is
really not an issue. I am not trivializing the Law or the need to obey
the law, I am just clarifying for AB that saved Christians are not
punished for violations of the law. There is no sliding scale to the
law, if you violate one law, you die. End of story. If you are under
Grace, God doesn't see your transgressions, just like they never
happened.

Get off the law thing dude.

I am saying that you have right here in your face a drastic change to
the bible.

There are in this quote from the OP many HUGH differnces in what that
bible says vs what bibles said in the 1940's.

Why would someone change it. Becuase it warns of those in high places
WITHIN the church in the original bibles. The new ones say those in
that do evil in the heavens. But you will not see this because I am
'Pounding' (High emotional index word designed to belittle my comments
because I am equated with violence - i.e. covering propaganda).

I said nothing about the law on this one. The law is in the old
testement. Not one jot or tittle is in Revelations.

This has nothing to do with the law so stop quoting it to me. It has
everything to do with people changing the bible.

You are all being slowly fed changes over a period of years that will
eventually make the bible a falsehood. Woe unto those that falsify the
word of god.

Jot and Tittle is only in the Bible in one place, that is Matthew 5:18.
And it is in reference to the Law.

Matthew 5:18
------------------------------------------------------------
For verily I say unto you, Till heaven and earth pass, one jot or one
tittle shall in no wise pass from the law, till all be fulfilled.
------------------------------------------------------------

What you are probably thinking of is the following scripture.

Revelation 22:19
------------------------------------------------------------
And if any man shall take away from the words of the book of this
prophecy, God shall take away his part out of the book of life, and out
of the holy city, and from the things which are written in this book.

Aye actuall both will suffice.

And you can add to those 'If any man shall add unto these things, God
shall add unto him the plagues that are written in this book:

what was posted was.
16In addition to all this, take up the shield of faith, with which you
can extinguish all the flaming arrows of the evil one.

IT ACTUALLY READS

There is also a vast differnce between the words 'the evil one' and the
words 'the wicked'.

The quote of the op came from a bible printed in 1974.

The quote I place after comes from a bible printed in 1900. As I pointed
out above and in my post earlier there is a VAST difference in the
meanings.

If I can see this in but a small sampling within a single chapter HOW
MUCH HAS BEEN CHANGED. Bit by bit, year by year they are taking the
truth out of the word. Yet it is as if I am speaking to a wall none
hear me and yet the book itself warns you in both the Old Testament and
the New.

AdventureBegins,

What versions are you quoting? If you want to do a comparison between
two version of the Bible, it would be nice if you could say which
versions you are quoting from.

Go here and read the definitions / meanings of the original Greek:
http://www.blueletterbible.org/cgi-bin/c.pl?book=Eph&chapter=6&verse=16&version=KJV#16

Notice that "poneros" can mean wicked people or Satan. Since the word
is an adjective and isn't noun or pronoun to modify, the word is
understood to usually mean "the evil", which would indicate satan. But
since we don't know what Paul meant, either translation is justifiable.

"In addition" and "above all" are both equally valid translations for
the beginning of the scripture. The words have many different possible
meanings, which without Paul standing in the room with you, you wouldn't
be able to determine what was originally intended.
