I have some family stuff that I must (and very much WANT TO) do in the next year...
..but... If I could swing a week or two off, I would love to visit some spectacular people in Canada (particularly during the Olympics) OR Visit a very near and Dear Friend in Australia during February and do some surfing. If you could manage a week off and had an extra "modest" amount of fun-funds, what would you do? |

ok.....this is soooo hard to say, however I have to think logically, and not selfishly....
Joel, Canada is going to be cheaper, which means longer time you can stay, and visit T, and Sherrie, and Harry, and any other Canucks...and go to the Olympics. How about we schedule for 2011...February March April....??? the economies of both our countries will have picked up a heck of a lot by then, airfares should be less mental, and the exchange rate will be more in your favour... 2011...NOT 2010..  |

Why not do Canada on the cheap cheap cheap, and then go Oz after. Drive to Canada, stay with friends, wont cost you much really.

Hmmm...I am an eternal optimist, and I feel that 2011 the aussie economy will be stronger... having now had this government sell the remainder of our resources to China...  and I want to believe the US economy will have found it's feet by then. |

Even if there was a road or a tunnel you could drive through, the airfare to Oz would probably be cheaper. Plus it wouldnt take you weeks! |
