I mean when you are not interested.

I have this guy at work and I am not totally sure but I think his
flirting is too much, but never enough to really complain about. Any
ideas what I can do other than just giving minimal responses to anything
he says? Can he not be getting the message?

if he thinks its bad taste to flirt with other guys ?

Just tell him your not interested in a relationship or
getting involved with someone right now or even in the near
future

my friend kloudiia has a few good ones on her site.

HE: Hi, didn’t we go on a date once? Or was it twice?

SHE: Must have been once. I never make the same mistake twice.

*********************

HE: How did you get to be so beautiful?

SHE: I must’ve been given your share.

*********************

HE: Will you go out with me this Saturday?

SHE: Sorry. I’m having a headache this weekend.

*********************

HE: Your face must turn a few heads.

SHE: And your face must turn a few stomachs.

Biggest problem with this is, even if you try to get him to stop, it may
not work.. you can find out pretty quickly if hes one of those by
mentioning that you're going out on a date with somebody in casual
conversation (or have gone on a date recently with someone.. he just saw
a movie, "oh, i just saw that with my bf last week..")... that is
usually interpreted as a clear signal, especially if interest is not
returned.

It seems to me that, if he is not the kind where pushing him away
at first, makes him think that you are playing hard to get, then telling
him that you are interested in someone else right now might be a very
benificel way to let him down by not hurting his feelings.

you no what you do ruewen.go to him and say to him"are we friends.could
i ask you something.i really like this guy i met a couple of days ago
and i am wondering what i can do to show him i am interested.do you have
any ideas.this guy is really hot and sweet, and i cannot stop thinking
about him".rub that in his face and he would surely walk away feeling
stupid.

LOL i think im completely missing something with men. They dont seem to
listen and everyone that approaches me turns into a player. Im serious
about this. I think i should gain some weight or something...at least i
would know the guy liked me for who i am and not because im pretty!

I try to get to know somebody, and learn who they are on the inside.
But hey, great looks are just iceing on the cake. People do look more at
looks as a first impression. Even though that's not where they should
look first. This does cause problems such as this, when you have looks,
because sometimes you have to turn more people down.

Just be direct and tell him that you are currently seeing someone, (even
if you are not) and if that ever changes you will let him know. If that
does not work talk to your Human Resources Director about filing Sexual
Harassment charges. That worked for me.

Perfect answer. If he is still persistent, just tell him, thank you for
your interest, but I don't date co-workers, never have, never will.

is he the kind of person that, if given more attention than a buzzing
fly, would take it as acompliment and come on stronger?

Yes I was sexually harased at work all of the time. Woman used to come
up to me in myu cubical at work and rub my ass. I had this one lady that
would un-button her blouse as to expose some cleavage and walk into my
cubical and ask me what I thought. Even though I was married the 11
years that this went on at least once a week, I never said anything.
WHY? Because I enjoyed the abillity of flurting without getting in
trouble myself. lol....lol....there is more to this story, but you will
have to dig it out of me.......... Paul
