We decided to meet at Hooters and When he showed up he was Not who he said he was at all. He lived with his mother and only wanted to go on the date to find the potential mother of his Five children. His money came from a fake Workmans comp claim. He smelled like he hadn't washed in weeks and he really needed to brush his teeth! I walked away full ( hot wings, I paid) and creep-ed out! this dude seriously didn't care who I was he just wanted to impregnate me with Five of his little lazy A@# kids. I went home and called my Mommy! |

All I seem to attract are the scammers. They post great looking pics and send mail, but once they find out you won't give out email address they seem to deactivate. Haven't meet anyone in person yet.

Ive met alot of great people in person and a few not so great- but its all what you make of it-
If I was interested in dating anymore I would agree with the chat global and date local statement though- the long distance relationship is really difficult and usually destined for failure. Sometimes they work but the majority of the time- its just not worth the heartache> |

I agree with your point- however you said you were chatting with him and that he was kind an funny-this is part of what must have drawn you in in the the beginning also! Part of it is the talking and getting to know someone and some people are very good at drawing you in that regardless of their pics! It's hard to know if people are telling the truth about themselves...makes it hard to trust! |

You are right! People post some of their most personal values on their profiles and there are some people who are very good at reading them and catering to what they are looking for. Wolf in sheep clothes, so to speak!

I use to have allot of self-esteem issues, but over time i realized ."this is what I got and I love it!" When people are insecure its a red flag for me. It is a doorway for many other issues and unnecessary drama> ... Then again there is also a fine line about weight. Americans are so obsessive over it~ some guys and women will freak over a few pounds. The older we get the slower our metabolism gets and its harder to stay in shape. Some people are just too dame judgemental! |

I'm on the last leg of a 3 wk trip from Ohio to Idaho and Montana.. I have met several people from here on my way and they all were very nice and honest people.. Meeting a couple more on the way back.. One that I met is what I call a "keeper" and will persue that further and see if it goes anywhere...LOL On the road again tomorrow headed home..
