Okay here's the situation...

My friends set me up with this guy about two months ago...we didn't
start to really seriously date until about four weeks ago. Last week I
left him because he lied to me about being over his ex-girlfriends
house...what they did, I may never know, but the fact is- he lied.

Now he's text messageing me that he misses me and loves me...and is
about to end it all...He got kicked out of his home becuase his family
does not approve of the ex-girlfriend...so now he's living under some
bridge. He doesn't have a job and he doesn't have any one to turn
to...even the ex has turned her back on him...again.

So my question to you all tonight is this- what do I do? I really did
start to care for him but do I stick around and help him even though he
hurt me or do I turn my back on him like everyone else has?? What would
you do?

I hate to have to quote dr phil here, but the best predictor of future
behavior is past behavior. This guy has shown you he is a liar. Also,
with him being homeless, he has bigger problems than beginning a new
relationship with someone. He needs to get his life on track before he
can share his life with someone.

stay... if he was serious about ya he wouldnt of done that in the first
place... do ya wanna be a doormat?

It would not be turning your back on him. He just makes you feel like
it is with the guilt trip he is laying on you.

You don't even really know this man. You should tell the friends that
hooked you up in the first place and hope all goes well.

I don't see this as your problem. People have to take responsibility
for themselves. But some have to be rescue over and over... they like
it that way.

Flyers...

You left him for a reason the first time. He LIED to you and you left
him. Why would you want to take him back now? If he wasn't kicked out of
his place would he still be texting you?

I would serious consider things before considering taking him back.

I've been thinking through all these same thoughts this entire
time...and no i don't want to be a doormat and yes I do think its an
attention tactic...I mean come on- you're homeless with a cell phone???

I told him to never contact me again unless he gets his life in order
and then MAYBE we can continue to be friends...but I'll never enter
another relationship with him...or anyone like him.

Let's see

1. He lied to you
2. He might have cheated on you
3. His own family asked him to leave
4. He has no JOB.
5. The other gal doesn't want him.
6. Your his last resort - he asked all others frst

Sounds like someone I'd put on my checking acct, go buy him a new
wardrobe, fix his dinner & be holding his slippers, whenever he decides
to come home.......NOT

Are you really asking this question?
Think you better go have a long talk with your mother.

Steph .. I have to agree with everyone else .. the guilt thing will
certainly make you feel like you are DOING the wrong thing by leaving
him BUT ... this is whats best for you, AND he lied .... tell your pals
in a nice way what has happened , but do NOT feel guilty
Just my opinion ...

Ahhh, the wonders of modern technology. Imagine being able to text
message someone from under a bridge!

Used to be you had to tie a note to a rock and toss it in the general
direction of traffic moving at speeds in excess of 75 miles per hour,
and just hope and pray that it flew into an open window and eventually
make its way to the intended recipient.

Sighhh

Forrest- what do you mean be a woman about it? I've been nothing but a
woman to this man...supporting him and transporting him everywhere...oh
yeah i left out the part where I paid for everything while dating and i
was his ride everywhere cause he doesn't have a license...and is 30
years old. So don't tell me to be woman about anything...I've done more
than my share for him and never expected crap in return.

I'm not asking if i should take him back....i think you all
misunderstood me...it's more - should I support him and still talk to
him or ignore him and make him find his own way. I am not in any way
taking him back...I'm very actively looking for a healthier relationship
lol

Birds of a feather flock together

Should you support him? (think that is what I read)

Why should you support him?

answer that & you'll have your answer.
