As I held her hand
it felt real good

laying in her bed
talking about life

the present from
past to future
through time

I looked in her

eyes as she smiled
as we laid there

I

shivering
tense jaws

talking about
current pains

crying and
holding her
hand tighter

mentally cringed
physically drained


i shared my
bad luck
and visions


she encouraged me
as well as she
nourished me

gave me more
hope

despite being
broke

from a sour
heart

i laid there
on my side one
hand holding up
my head

she doing the same
facing me
comforting me

I turned on my back
to smother
the shakyness

as she rubbed my
back with her
free hand

I felt gifted
by this

thanking her
for being
so patient
with me

she smiled
and the words
she didnt say

were written
on
her face

reading through
emotions face

to face

feeling less
shakey and more
calm

thanking god
she is my mom
