There should be a prophesy involving destruction of the Egyptian Sea by
the hand of God.

Old Testement more than likley cause the new testement stuff is mostly a
rewording of old testement prophesy.

I do not know of this prophecy. If you can find some scripture on it i
would love to see it. The scriptures speak of the 2 witnesses that the
world hates in a Moses and Aaron scenerio. Miles

Ishaia 11:15-16

It just says that God will smite the Egyptian Sea with his mighty sword
and cause a mighty wind to split the river into seven parts so that
people could walk across it.

Some versions of the bible say they will be able to walk across the
(after being smitten) Egyptian sea. Some say they will be able to walk
across the river after it is split into sevens.

One says the river he will split is the Euprhates River. The others do
not specificy what river. Near the Red sea? The Nile?

9. The troops would cross the Euphrates
Bible passage: Revelation 16:12
Written: sometime between 54 and 95 AD
To be fulfilled: End Times
In Revelation 16:12, the Bible says there will come a time when the
flow of the Euphrates River is halted or dried up, preparing the way for
the "the kings from the East." Some scholars have connected this
prophecy to others that speak of armies waging war in Israel. When the
book of Revelation was written 1900 years ago, it would have taken a
great natural disaster, or a great amount of labor to divert the flow of
the Euphrates so that an army could cross it. (In 539 BC, Cyrus and his
army diverted the flow so that his troops could march across the
riverbed and conquer Babylon). But, today, there are a series of dams
that would make it much easier to divert the flow of the powerful river.

Revelation 16:12
The sixth angel poured out his bowl on the great river Euphrates, and
its water was dried up to prepare the way for the kings from the East.

AB I am not sure this is prophecy for today. It speaks of another
salvation. The people of the time knew what Elisha (ElYahshua) his mane
literally means Elohim is Salvation. Now when Elisha was given the
mantle and saw Eliyah go up in a whirlwind he struck the waters and it
just says they split and became dry land. Elisha also was a salvation to
the people as he made a valley in a drought fill with water miraculasly.
the books of our bible are not in the order that the jewish scriptures
are. Ours for the OT are arranged ... Torah ,writings major prophets and
minor prophets. The Tanak is arranged in the order of the history when
people lived. Yet many lived at the same time. the Tanak is arranged..
torah Mior prophets? major prophets and the writings being last. So in
this instance Elisha comes after the prophecies of Isaiah. Qutining
these verses we have.

Isa 11:14-12:1

14 But they shall fly upon the shoulders of the Philistines toward the
west; they shall spoil them of the east together: they shall lay their
hand upon Edom and Moab; and the children of Ammon shall obey them. Edom
and Moab are the incestrious children of Lot.

15 And Yahweh shall utterly destroy the tongue of the Egyptian sea;(
this is interesting that he calls the sea a tongue.. as egypt is
recongnized as sin mostly) and with his mighty wind shall he shake his
hand over the river, and shall smite it in the seven streams, ( seven
are ususually refered to the commandments of man set forth by Yahweh)
and make men go over dryshod.

16 And there shall be an highway for the remnant of his people, which
shall be left, from Assyria; like as it was to Israel in the day that he
came up out of the land of Egypt.
KJV
It is interesting that Assyria is mentioned as a highway as egypt was.
I do not believe this is speaking of the reed or red sea but of a people
land and sea which are North and also called Syria not Assyria as it was
in genesis. So we must be talking about a people and land later in time
that Yahweh hates.
Elisha made the Syrian king mad for cleansing a lepor...
2 Kings 5:5-14

5 Then the king of Syria said, "Go now, and I will send a letter to the
king of Israel."

So he departed and took with him ten talents of silver, six thousand
shekels of gold, and ten changes of clothing. 6 Then he brought the
letter to the king of Israel, which said,

Now be advised, when this letter comes to you, that I have sent Naaman
my servant to you, that you may heal him of his leprosy.

7 And it happened, when the king of Israel read the letter, that he tore
his clothes and said, "Am I Elohim, to kill and make alive, that this
man sends a man to me to heal him of his leprosy? Therefore please
consider, and see how he seeks a quarrel with me."

8 So it was, when Elisha the man of Yahweh heard that the king of Israel
had torn his clothes, that he sent to the king, saying, "Why have you
torn your clothes? Please let him come to me, and he shall know that
there is a prophet in Israel."

9 Then Naaman went with his horses and chariot, and he stood at the door
of Elisha's house. 10 And Elisha sent a messenger to him, saying, "Go
and wash in the Jordan SEVEN times , and your flesh shall be restored to
you, and you shall be clean." 11 But Naaman became furious, and went
away and said, "Indeed, I said to myself, 'He will surely come out to
me, and stand and call on the name of Yahweh his Elohim, and wave his
hand over the place, and heal the leprosy.' 12 Are not the Abanah and
the Pharpar, the rivers of Damascus, better than all the waters of
Israel? Could I not wash in them and be clean?" So he turned and went
away in a rage. 13 And his servants came near and spoke to him, and
said, "My father, if the prophet had told you to do something great,
would you not have done it? How much more then, when he says to you,
'Wash, and be clean'?" 14 So he went down and dipped seven times in the
Jordan, according to the saying of the man of Yahweh; and his flesh was
restored like the flesh of a little child, and he was clean.
NKJV
Yahshua made a point to the pharasees just like Elisha said to the
king of Israel. Bring them to me. Here we see he was cleasened by
dipping in the river 7 times. like Yahshua told the blind man go and
wash and you will see. Elisha was a savor to the people at that time.
not the Elite but to those who would listen to him. just as Yahshua
was/is. Yahshua speaks to the pharasees about this cleansing also and
they are angered by it.

sorry hit the wrong button. well Yahshua's words about it..

Luke 4:23-30

23 He said to them, "You will surely say this proverb to Me, 'Physician,
heal yourself! Whatever we have heard done in Capernaum, do also here in
Your country.'" 24 Then He said, "Assuredly, I say to you, no prophet
is accepted in his own country. 25 But I tell you truly, many widows
were in Israel in the days of Eliyah, when the heaven was shut up three
years and six months, and there was a great famine throughout all the
land; 26 but to none of them was Eliyah sent except to Zarephath, in
the region of Sidon, to a woman who was a widow.
27 And many lepers were in Israel in the time of Elisha the prophet,
and none of them was cleansed except Naaman the (Syrian)."

28 So all those in the synagogue, when they heard these things, were
filled with wrath, 29 and rose up and thrust Him out of the city; and
they led Him to the brow of the hill on which their city was built, that
they might throw Him down over the cliff. 30 Then passing through the
midst of them, He went His way.
NKJV
I believe this prophecy has been fullfilled not with the splitting of
a river in Egypt but with the Salvation message that Eliyah and ElYShua
and Then Yahshua making mention of it and they wanted to do him harm.
You see a physycian does not go to the well to heal but to the sick.
Israel just refused to believe.. I very well may be wrong. But thanks
for making me study a new prophecy that i had not paid much attention to
and i still need to do much study on it. See Yahweh sends whoever he
wishes to teach you things and all Glory goes to Yahweh. AB May Yahweh
Fill Your House with his Shalom and bring Much Wisdom to Your Heart....

Nay it is not complete miles.

For it was but two small statements yet you explained it with many
mouthings that but mentioned it yet again.

Tounge of the Egyptian Sea indeed is the Red Sea. For the Egyptians
plied upon the sea now known as the Indian Ocean in their time. Where
went the Egyptian there also went the name of Egypt. Hence in their
time was that Sea in its intirety known as the Egyptian Sea and the Red
Sea but a Tongue.

If you place a book in the sequence you wish why not place the book of
Moses before that of Genesis? Or the New Testement before the old.
Change the order of the books even in a small way and you have created
the means by which another can also change the order to the hurt of us
all. There is a reason for the order as it has been given.

When this one is fufilled we will all know it. Such a sudden change on
the face of the earth will be felt in all places. Of that there is no
doubt. It will be as if a bell has tolled within the earth.

Ok, so - can we pick out prophecy and interpret it to the point of
knowing what to expect? It does not seem so. What is the good of
prophecy if it's vision is hindsight only? If a prophecy is not clear
enough to have no doubt, how can it be called prophecy?

I don’t believe in prophecy with respect to the fate of humanity.

To me such things are pure superstition.

I would have hoped that humanity would have grown beyond such ignorance
by now.

It just amazes me how incapable we are as a species to learn from
history.

You make a good point, Abracadabra...it is a shame humans haven't
learned from history. And time and time again, we intelligent humans
have ignored prophecy and its fulfillments. The Bible is a factual,
historical, and scientific Book that has proven itself over time.
Biblical prophecies accurately show what the future holds. The prophet
Isaiah looked to the future on many occasions and wrote, by name, about
Cyrus; he mentioned the Messiah...to name a couple. An excellent site to
learn more about prophecy as written in the Bible is:

For every prophesy in the bible there are ten to say it is this and ten
more that say it is so and ten others whom say Nay THIS is the right of
it.

I reckon I will do as KariZ has stated and box on reguardless.

If I see signs that a prophesy is coming to fruition I will take it as a
warning and survive or not as is willed by that which is.
