Usually I throw these on the grill and they come out great, but I no longer have a grill. Every recipe I've found for preparing them on the stove or in the oven requires me to smother them with some kind of soup or gravy or...something. noway I don't want them smothered in anything...got any ideas?

Have you ever tried "Johnny's Pork & Chicken Seasoning?"
It gives pork and chicken the best flavor, then you can
broil, pan fry, however, but it is my favorite.
It is getting hard to find though, has been around since the
late 60s, and stores seem to be heading more for the
spicy seasonings, I have to look harder to find it now.
But it is the best.

I have one of those pans with the grooves in it...and it almost acts like a grill. Food turns out great on it!

Broiling them with just a bit of seasoning is perfect. Turn out similar to grilling. Not exactly the same, but as close as you can get w/o a grill.

If you have the right type of stove, there is a grill 'attachment' you can put where two of the burners are and 'grill' on your stovetop.

Sage is one of the best herbs for using with Pork in my book. Love it.
