It was 2am, I'm in bed (asleep) my Skype mobile phone rings, in a sleepy haze I answer it ( I did because I have children who live away from home, one of them may be in trouble) turns out it is not one of my children but an acquaintance (male) he found me on Skype. Before I could come to my senses he launches into what he could do for me................. I was not polite,told him about his short-comings and because he is French does not mean he does not have to show respect, somehow I don't think he will be calling again, nor speak to me either!! ( I hope) I cannot change my phone right now as it would be too expensive and most of my contacts know this number. I have blocked him,but he has my details.I am thinking of contacting Skype to report him. How do you deal with nuisance calls?

I have a fax machine on the line eeeeeewwwwwwwwwwwwwbbbbbbrrrbrrrrbrrrrrrriiiiiiiiiiipppppppppppttttttttttttt i actually have a fax machine, and i had it on all day one time and who ever called just got the noise from the machine.. didnt want to be bothered that day...LOL |

i dont use skyp for i found it confusing but nuisance calls, i usually just avoid them so i dont answer and if i do i hang up on them I find it useful (and free) I can call people all over the world even when I am on the move, I don't need to be at my computer) like anything, you just have to get used to it. |

yes i understand its free but i also have free long distance on my home phone as its unlimited and i can can tinian for its in the maritan islands(my daughter and grandkids are there) I opted in for a "free" long distance calls scheme from British Telecom, when my quarterly bill arrived I found they charged me for every long distance call I made, over £300 worth,plus prepaying for line rental and they also charged me for equiptment (phone that was not theirs) it took me a good few phone calls to get my money back, they said if I left it then I would not have to pay for the next quarter, so I called in Which (a consumer watchdog) they paid it back and offered me an upgraded service............ I declined. |

Get a whistle and blow it as hard as you can That will get rid off the frog I found my old referee's whistle, I have placed it on my bedside cabinet, I'm so ready for that S.O.B!

Contact Skype and see what they can do. I hear great things about the service though I don't personally use it.

I don't use Skype. However, I do make full use of my caller ID an answerin machine.
