Don't know. Seems they are all enjoying themselves.
Who's to say it's even happening on Embassy property. Could be anywhere.

On the other hand, with a name like Wackenhut, they're living up to the name.

Seriously, Wackenhut is the prison industry.

It is a tragedy that the US invaded a poor sovereign country known as Afghanistan with different religion, culture, language, values, principles....etc and now they are making a real circus of it .

These are not our soldiers, our soldiers are not making a circus of anything. These private companies should be banned. Personally I don't understand why the army doesn't' do this work.

KABUL – Eight security guards at the U.S. Embassy in Afghanistan have been fired following allegations of lewd behavior and sexual misconduct at their living quarters, the embassy said Friday.

The Kabul senior management team of ArmorGroup North America, the private contractor that provides the guards for the State Department, is also "being replaced immediately," an embassy statement said.

The statement said the guards who were fired left the country Friday. Two other guards resigned and left. Their names and nationalities were not released.

The statement said all 10 appeared in photographs that depicted guards and supervisors in various stages of nudity at parties flowing with alcohol.

A team from the State Department inspector general has arrived to lead an investigation, the embassy said.

The scandal surfaced this week when an independent watchdog said guards were subjected to abuse and hazing by supervisors.

The Project on Government Oversight contended the situation had led to a breakdown in morale and leadership that compromised security at the embassy in Kabul, where nearly 1,000 U.S. diplomats, staff and Afghan nationals work.

Nearly two-thirds of the 450 embassy guards are Gurkhas from Nepal and northern India who speak little English, a situation that creates communications breakdowns, the group said. Pantomime is often used to convey orders and instructions.

In at least one case, supervisors brought prostitutes into the quarters where the guards live, a serious breach of security and discipline, the watchdog said this week. In other instances, members of the guard force drew Afghans into activities forbidden by Muslims, such as drinking alcohol, it said.

On Thursday, the embassy said alcohol had been prohibited at Camp Sullivan — the offsite location where ArmorGroup guards live — and diplomatic security staff had been assigned to the camp.

The army does not do the work because it was outsourced to halliburton and companies like that at two to three times the cost of what the Army can do it for. Thank the Bush years for all this

Yes I agree, and it infuriated me at the time. One doesn't have to be a rocket scientist to know for profit companies of this nature are an accident waiting to happen. This whole story disgusts me.

Your troops are killing INNOCENT people every day so I am suggesting that they should get the hell from there very soon . Also wars cost money and lives and peace is always better .

this sounds more like a morel judgment of GLB

they were in their own living quarters on their off time

I wonder if it had been hetero sex if they would have freaked out on it as much

Personally I think killing is wrong no matter who is doing the killing. To protect another life is a very different thing. If someone attacks my family, you better say a prayer because I won't just stand there and turn the other cheek. If we are there to protect the people of Afghanistan I don't argue with that. I do argue it if we are doing more harm than good. Right now I am not convinced of that. If we had concentrated on it instead of Iraq we might have been out of there by now.

I thought about that myself, it probably would have been ignored if there were women in this situation. Frankly I have seen guys while drunk do some pretty gross stuff, and mimic gay behavior, when it had nothing to do with being gay themselves. But as always if there is something that can be construed as gay, that will be the first thing that is exploited.

Still GAY

Got no idea why Homosexual acts between those consenting adults would be offensive to a Homosexual. Perversion is still perverted.

I still don't see one photo where they look like they are being forced.
