Rest, plenty of fluids, vitamin C, zinc...but that's no guarantee it
won't get worse.

Thank you guys. Right now all I have is the sneezes and a runny nose.
Runny nose did not start until I dyed my hair yesterday. Stupid
ammonia...lol.

My mom always used to get me to eat a sandwich with raw onions.
Tasted crap, but it always did the trick.flowerforyou

Are you sure it's not an allergic reaction, rather than a cold?

Thank you all for your suggestions. Tom does your suggestion come with
Tums and breath mints?...lol. I will go to the drug store Lazy and see
if they sell any of that here in Canada.

Sound like allergic reaction to me...the stuff they make for hair is
soooo toxic..but if it's a cold, I use echinacea an herb which you can
get in most drug stores over the counter in the vitamin section OR zinc
OR zycam. Hope you feel better.

I usually grab the ammonia free stuff and I grabbed the wrong stuff his
time without thinking about it. It was instantly strong that is for
sure.

Yes, it could be:

You may suffer all of the following but it is most common to just notice
one or two of the symptoms. Like other forms of contact dermatitis
repeated exposure may cause the allergy to develop therefore
alternatives to permanent hair dye should be researched as soon as an
allergy is confirmed.

Itching scalp/skin

Redness

Swelling

Mild dandruff like symptoms

Scaly skin

Pain

Sneezing or other hay fever/cold like symptoms when ever hair dye
applied

Nausea when dye applied

Sever swelling around eyes

Scaly skin on ears, face and neck

And an allergy can start at any time, too. But...cold remedies generally
take care of the symptoms of allergies too (for instance Benedryl) so
you really won't know for sure whether it's a cold or an allergy. If you
have the same symptoms next time you dye your hair, I'd consider allergy
for sure.
