Just saw on MSN news -
A little 4 y/o boy was beaten to death by his mom's boyfriend - she was
deployed to Iraq. His dad has been deployed to Iraq since August too,
they are separated. Mom left her 3 children in the care of her
boyfriend, the two older children were okay. Apparently happened
between Tuesday night and Wednesday morning. How horrible for this
little baby.

I don't understand how people can do this to the innocent of the world.
Don't know if this was the appropriate place to post this, but just
thought he deserved some recognition, and on Memorial Day weekend too,
his parents are serving overseas.

Please say a special prayer for him and his family tonight.

I'll do that, but I'd also like to spend a little time with the
boyfriend...it won't take very long...

I worked in the prison system in WA state for 17 years, and you can bet
he is going to be crying for protective custody, the inmates hate people
who hurt babies and kids. He is not going to have an easy time. He
will likely spend most of his sentence in isolation for his own
protection, but hope someone gets to him first. Agree with you on this
one.

I read that and the first thing I thought was her boyfriend.
She must have had a lot of trust in him to leave her children with him
for possibly 15 months. What was wrong with the Grand Parents (4)
brothers, sisters. Thats a lot of trust to give to a boyfriend. So
sad!!!!flowerforyou

Funny, Marie...even cons have a code of honor and he'll wish he had met
with me and my ax handle instead of what he's in for. And, no, I have
never been in prison or jail...lol

I thought the same, he was only 23 and I don't know why she left him
with full responsibility, seems like the grandparents would have wanted
to be involved. Can't second guess at this point. My grandson turns 3
next month and guess it really hit a nerve with me, they are so small
and vulnerable at that age.

That is awful! That poor little guy! But I can't imagine why the
grandparents weren't involved other than maybe they live in another
state. It's sooo sad.

The two surviving children have been placed in the custody of their
grandparents. The Fathers parents live in GA and Ala.. When the mother
was shipped out, the fathers mother united with her and the mother told
her the children were in the care of her Uncle and his family. She
says, the mother never even mentioned the boyfriend, who had been
unemployed for some time, and had been living with for less than a year.
The father of the children is devastated and had not seen the children
in awhile, last talking to them on the phone briefly in Jan. He says he
also did not know his wife was leaving the children with the boyfriend,
or even knew she was seeing him.

Thanks Fanta for the info, so the mother lied to the grandmother about
leaving the children with her boyfriend too then. How sad, sounds like
the mother knew it was wrong, on some level to leave them with her
boyfriend if she lied about it to the chidren's grandmother, and maybe
the grandmother would have been willing to take care of them. How sad.

Bad enough for the adults involved but what the poor older two children
must have witnessed, they may never recover. flowerforyou
