There is all ready laws protecting people from crime!
I think it was a waste of time to even pass this law.
Giving certain groups special laws, does that not discriminate against those of us who don't fit in those groups?

I'm a white male, blond hair blue eyes. I want a law that make it a federal crime if someone commits voilence against me!

You have been protected all along. More so than others in most cases.

How more so?
I don't see anything in the laws that say white, blond haired, blue eyed men have more protection than others.

YOu are being funny right here, right?

They did not have to include that in the laws because it was white men who were creating and exerting the laws.

I don't know why some folks have such a hard time understanding this one. You'd think one would not have to be gay to get it.

 I should have worded that better. I really meant that for those that are straight and don't understand what this bill meant.

Sorry I'm not gay. So explain why we need more laws when we allready have them.
I have nothing against gays, other races, or the others mentioned in the bill.
Why are they singled out?

I recall posts about someone knowing gays that could prob beat up most people.
where is the law if someone gay beats up someone straight because he hates him?

I agree this is nothing more than stomping all over our freedom of speech.I know this bill can get a pastor fined or in jail for simply speaking against homosexuals.I think this government is trying to get into our brains and control our thoughts. It's our right to believe what we want to believe not matter who is offended or who agrees with it.I understand people may not like our ideas or the way we think but it crosses the line when we start telling people they have to think this way and believe this and not believe that. What we talk about in private or in groups of people who support our beliefs is nobodys business but our own and is protected by the Constitution. There is a million people who say a million things I disagree with and would rather not hear but it is their right to say it and as long as they are not hurting anyone I could care less.

Even though this law passed I doubt it will be enforced because I have never heard of a person going to jail or prison because he was expressing his or her beliefs. If you are threatening people or planning violence against people that is another story and should be looked into.
