Not proud of it, but I am twice divorced. I love both of them but that had little to do with whether our relationships were healthy. Love is not all you need to make a marriage work,,especially with children involved.

i dont think love is selfish all because its the only way people can find a life of peace and a trane of thought to save the things we love like our kids friends family pets and your spirits that make you what you are. I know im no zombie. at least i dont think im hungry for flesh "yet".

Love is rarely a balanced equation. There is no such thing as selfish love. That's bartering. Loving someone doesn't involve having a calculator or slide rule to make sure everything is even.

If I'm "loving" someone, I'm "giving", and often the words are interchangeable. Loving and taking are not.
