Thank you everyone (well almost everyone) for the amazing words of comfort and support.
 We are finally home after he scared the crap out of me! They did lots of bloodwork, a CT scan and some x-rays and all came back okay. This was a whopper of a seizure and man it scared the living daylights out of me. They had him pretty drugged up Friday night and most of Saturday but as the meds wore off he was back to his feisty self. The breathing tube was removed mid morning on Saturday and I was happy to see that go. Now I am in hot pursuit to find his meds, Wal-Mart wasn't able to fill his prescription.  I have to take him back in a few weeks to do the EEG, he was wide awake when they tried and he was having no parts of those weird looking leads taped to his head, she had 2 left to put on and he took the others off in a hurry! LOL Next time they are going to do it under sedation. And to top off everything that happened all weekend, someone who was driving in front of me on my way home called the police to tell them that they saw me repeatedly striking my child. The local police had to come out, I told the cop to go ahead and see him and that he was fine. I had to call the police back in the town where it was called in. I told the cop 'My son almost died in my arms Friday night, you seriously think I am gonna be beating him, now, later or ever?" Unreal how nosey people are.

I can't believe that someone would do that!! Especially after what you both went through!!
I hope he's doing better, and that when they do the eeg, everything turns out ok!! My thoughts and prayers are still with you both!!

you just brought back a memory, we almost lost my son the end of dec 2yrs ago.(my son is also a special needs child) he was in the hospitol for 3weeks.. hes doing great, he does have his days... but your family is in my prayers |

He is in a pissy mood and I just hope I can get him to take this dose. Its liquid and I can hide in his juice, but he has no interest in his cup. I know who called teh cops, there was a truck in front of me driving really slowly. First of all, like the cop said, I have the right as a parent to discipline my child, and all he was required to do was follow up since a call was made to their dept. Our local cop was able to come in and talk to him and see that he was perfectly fine.

So glad to hear Christopher is home and doing well ((((((Nicole))))))! Thank you, Cindy! He slept really well last night, I think he was happy to be in his bed and not have tubes and wires hooked up to him.

Glad you got that straight too!. , Give Christopher a BIG HUG for me. Bless his heart and hoping his EEG comes out and all is well!..Keep us updated PLEASE.. Thanks, Linda. The EEG isn't a tell all test, but it'll show if there is any unusual activity in his brain, which common sense tells that there is!lol The meds are supposed to pretty much stop the seizures. But now I am so paranoid to even let him out of my sight for fear this happens again. I think it was his bodies way of saying that it needed meds finally for the seizures.

God Nichole I havent been on for a few days, I am soo sorry to hear this, I am glad he is better , I will say a prayer for the 2 of U EVERY day!!

My son had a seizure last night and stopped breathing. I took him to the ER and they transferred him to another local hospital with a pediatric ICU. He was put on a breathing machine and they did a lot of tests on him. As of this morning, they've done chest x-rays, a CT scan, lots of bloodwork and will be doing an EEG for the seizures. He is stable but they think he won't be released until tomorrow sometime. I am a wreck, slept at the hospital last night, came home just to get a shower, clean clothes and then heading right back up to be with him. Prayers for njmom son

I'm so sorry to hear this......wasn't what you needed to end your weekend. Goodness! Hugs to you Nicole...keep up the good work! Thanks and that is wonderful that the meds are helping your kiddo. So far this one is good, the side effects are a bit of a pain, but I'd rather deal with some additional behavior issues over the seizures.
