it is all possible that some higher plane of existance is possible and it is just as possible that there is an all omnipitant being however the fact that this being would be all omnipitant coupled with the fact that the universe is infinate this being would not care about what would happen to us as a race or even as a planet or even galaxy

Respectfully: Why would you assume this?

That just because He/She/It is very big and very busy and has a lot of stuff to keep track of, that you/me would be over-looked?

I have a rather hectic life too, but I still care very much for the "small stuff". (That's right, I sweat it)

I think that the concepts of ommnipotence, omniscience and omnipensence infer a higher level of competence... omnicompetence?

Just a thought...

no worries really, we wont truly know for sure until it is over when there will be two outcomes,,,

the bible will be just 'myth' and we will all be dust, in which case someones faith and actions has done them no harm

or

the bible will be true testimony, we will stand in judgment, and our souls will be sent to their eternal residence, in which case someones faith and actions may prove to have made a world of difference

We may also discover that all religions, especially the 5 major ones like Christianity, Islam, Judaism, Hinduism, and Buddhism, may have all had something in common and all had it a little bit right, and a little bit wrong, so it may be likely that we'll all share the same paradise or hell together. The Tower of Babel example can be applied to religion just as can language.

Agreed, and furthermore, I refuse to condemn a religion other than mine, simply because they worship differently or have a different set of covenants. My religion is what I feel spiritually comforted with, and it's no better or worse than anyone else's. More of us should learn lessons in tolerance if we are to survive as a species.

i am in a chaos, i call myself as a budding philosopher, my greatest hinderance at the moment is GOD?? Who is god??

God always was, always is, and always will be...
God is everywhere, omnipresent, everything, omniscient...
How can there be a creator, when it always existed?...

You can define God however you wish...it is up to you to decide how you want to live and think about life...but I believe you are as much a part of it as I am or all of us...

I do not believe we can truly understand what infinite and eternal means because our physical minds are not able to grasp this concept...we sense we are separate, probably for a reason...to learn something perhaps, possibly the experience the feeling of separateness...who knows?

I believe Heaven and Hell are a state of mind, not a place to go to after we die...hell for me is feeling separate from God and others...learning to focus your attention on heavenly things around you, i believe, will help you cultivate a feeling of being in the presence of God, that your are in heaven...

just some rambling thoughts for ya...

'Who' ... ? Why not 'what' ... ? Better yet, IS there a 'god' ... ? Have you considered that this 'god' being is nothing more than a construct to achieve behavioral modification and control through the promise of a 'reward' in a mythical 'afterlife' ... ? The 'god' concept is quite like buying a life insurance policy - the only way you can WIN is to DIE ... sorry, only one to a customer ... btw, there is no 'heaven' or 'hell', either ... they're just part of the dichotomous 'god construct' of reward and punishment ...
