Thank God that Fox is not part of "the larger journalism Brotherhood"

Right, they are not investigative journalists at all. POX is NOT a news outlet...not a part of credible media nor worthy of being on a public TV...I hope others complain about POX on their company TV's or anywhere they see this cheap RW nutbag reality TV show being propped up as "news".
Thanks.

Oh please ... tell all of us ig'nant conservatives why Rachel Madcow, Keith Underwearmann, Chrissy Matthews, Charlie Rosette, and that bunch are SO much more 'qualified' and 'smarter' and why they're 'investigative journalists' ... Ever try cleaning the inside of your monitor screen after Underwearmann finishes frothing spittle all over it ... ? Yeah, that's a real 'reporter' for ya ...There's a reason he works for MSLSD now - ESPN fired his sorry asss ...

" ... UNLIKE the naacp who are about EQUALITY and INTEGRATION,, KKK is about dominance and SEGREGATION ... "

'Equality' ... ? 'Integration' ... ? Umm, 'scuuuuuuse me, but if THAT's the case, why haven't the oh-so-Progressive-and-fair members of the NAALCP pushed to abolish ALL-BLACK colleges? Why haven't they pushed to 'refudiate' [sic]'Miss Black America'? Why haven't they sought to do away with Affirmative Action ... ? We're INTEGRATED, so it's NO LONGER NEEDED ... well, except by WHITES who've been reverse-discriminated against.

Sorry, this, once more, is nothing more than sophistry - and not even GOOD sophistry, at that. Pap by any other name is still pap.

Here's an idea straight from the pages of 'Totalitarianism 101' ... Let's give the Sheriff access to our medical records so he can make sure WE'RE not dealing drugs when we get our pain meds. Sound good? You betcha - but only in a place like China ... or Cuba ... NOT here ...

Sheriffs want lists of patients using painkillers

BY LYNN BONNER - staff writer

Sheriffs in North Carolina want access to state computer records identifying anyone with prescriptions for powerful painkillers and other controlled substances.

The state sheriff's association pushed the idea Tuesday, saying the move would help them make drug arrests and curb a growing problem of prescription drug abuse. But patient advocates say opening up people's medicine cabinets to law enforcement would deal a devastating blow to privacy rights.

Allowing sheriffs' offices and other law enforcement officials to use the state's computerized list would vastly widen the circle of people with access to information on prescriptions written for millions of people. As it stands now, doctors and pharmacists are the main users.

30 percent of state residents received at least one prescription for a controlled substance, anything from Ambien to OxyContin, in the first six months of this year, according to the state Department of Health and Human Services. Nearly 2.5 million people filled prescriptions in that time for more than 375 million doses. The database has about 53.5 million prescriptions in it.

Sheriffs made their pitch Tuesday to a legislative health care committee looking for ways to confront prescription drug abuse. Local sheriffs said that more people in their counties die of accidental overdoses than from homicides.

For years, sheriffs have been trying to convince legislators that the state's prescription records should be open to them.

"We can better go after those who are abusing the system," said Lee County Sheriff Tracy L. Carter.

Others say opening up patients' medicine cabinets to law enforcement is a terrible idea.

"I am very concerned about the potential privacy issues for people with pain," said Candy Pitcher of Cary, who volunteers for the nonprofit American Pain Foundation. "I don't feel that I should have to sign away my privacy rights just because I take an opioid under doctor's care." Pitcher is receiving treatment for a broken back.

In case there's any doubt about the troops, they are ALWAYS in harm's way ... just sayin'...

" ... building near gz doesnt disrespect any religion, it just pisses off some americans who feel the place whre their loved ones died should be held in esteem to any above any other place where deaths have occurred ... "

Perhaps it escaped your notice that THESE deaths are a direct result of an ACT OF WAR ... ? They are WAR DEAD. They are DEAD because of the actions of 19 MUSLIMS. There's a connection there if you look really really close. I guess insensitivity to that is just supposed to be accepted ... ?

When we go to school our teachers or professors hand us so-called facts and figures to absorb and memorize...

And ... ? Is there an unspoken problem here I'm missing? Some things - like multiplication tables - have to be learnt by rote. I don't see a problem here. Ever watch one of our 'modern' kids who HAVEN'T been forced to learn to do math in their heads try to calculate change at McD's ... ? They're lucky they recognize the difference between numbers and letters on the screen.

Little Pulaski, Tenn., to Suffer Through Another Racist Event

No comment ... ? Your 'concern' is 'touching' ...

Funny we haven't seen you demonstrate the same 'concern' for places like Freddie's Fashion Mart, where the 'Rev' Al's actions and incitement to riot resulted in DEATHS ... but that's 'different', right ... ? Sure it is ...

Yep - if you got the money, honey, they got the time ... the time it takes to convince you to transfer them bucks from YOUR wallet to THEIR wallet ... I love tender, heartwarming stories like this ... it just reaffirms my belief once again that people are chumps ... Barnum lives ... That knowledge makes my day so much brighter ...

http://articles.moneycentral.msn.com/SavingandDebt/SaveMoney/6-outrageously-overpriced-products.aspx

6 outrageously overpriced products

1. Movie popcorn

At the grocery store, microwave popcorn runs about $3 per box, and each box includes three 3.5-ounce bags. So why would consumers even consider paying a whopping $6 for a single medium-sized bag of popcorn at a movie theater? No one knows exactly why, but for some reason, moviegoers continue to drain their wallets to crunch on a bag full of those greasy little nuggets.
After considering that movie theaters purchase popcorn in bulk, the average markup of movie theater popcorn is a whopping 1,275%.

2. Greeting cards

Since when does a folded-up piece of paper cost $2.99? Since someone slaps a precious kitty picture and a cleverly written message on it and then stamps the back of it with a logo. The markup is between 100% and 200%.

3. College textbooks

In 2010, the annual in-state cost for the typical state university soared to more than $15,000, and private colleges now charge an average of $35,600 a year. As if college kids (and their parents) aren't financially drained enough, there's yet another inflated price they face: college textbooks. College students spend an average of $900 a year on textbooks and other supplies.

4. Bottled water

You've probably heard that "Evian" is simply "naive" spelled backward. Yet many consumers are still willing to pay $3 for a bottle of it. In 2009, Congress revealed that about 45% of bottled water comes from municipal taps.

5. Printer ink

You may be able to buy a surprisingly affordable printer at your local office supply store, but don't start celebrating just yet. The printer companies make their biggest bucks on ink. At $30, a 42-milliliter cartridge of black printer ink comes out to 70 cents per milliliter.

6. Brand-name fashion

How much did you pay for those True Religion jeans, that Burberry scarf and those towering Louboutin stilettos? Probably a small fortune. But they were worth every penny, right? Not so much. When it comes to designer clothes, it's pretty obvious that you are paying for the label. As a matter of fact, brand-name clothes are often marked up 500% to 1,000%.

The 'short-form' answer is ... NO.

If you insert yourself into a co-dependency / 'needy' / 'whatever' issue, you're the only one gonna lose. THEY'll be perfectly fine, 'cuz no matter how they treat each other, it's what they want. Try to separate 'em and you become the 'bad guy'.

Accept the fact that people make stupid choices all the time. You - and anyone else - are incapable of 'saving them from themselves or their choices. Life is not about that 'reward and punishment' thing - it's about 'choice and consequence'.

Let 'em enjoy each other in 'their own special way' and ignore it.

Way ahead of these guys...I work for a large company and the security guards kept putting FOX on in the lobby, so I called the ethics line one evening and within a few days it was FOX NO MORE! FOX has been banned in the building.

But you'd be 'oh-so-tolerant' of the views of OTHERS who called that same 'ethics line' (great oxymoron, btw) and similarly had CNN, ABC, CBS, NBC, MSLSD, and C-SPAN banned, right ... ?

No?

Gee. Didn't think so ...

Pay attention in class. Those are words that your boy, 'The UN' has used to demonstrate his juvenile wordsmithing 'skillz' as 'president' ... those are NOT her words ... but she IS right about Shakespeare's love of language. i bet she looks good in a bikini though...

(Good one Best)
Dude, I have to have some respect for a woman I'd....tho~ some guys will phuck anything with a heartbeat...not sure if that's a requirement for some. Egads!

so you don't like women in bikinis? to bad, i'm sure there is someone out there that doesn't wear bikinis...and if you see a beautiful car or a beautiful sunset, are you being disrespectful for saying it's beautiful? you're the only one on here that said anything about phucking, so who is really being disrespectful? i don't like the woman anymore than you do, but she a beautiful woman for her age...sorry your political views are getting in the way of reality.

No, I merely said that I have to respect a woman to make love to her...is that so bad or am I to be one who'd phuck anything...I dated a model for a while...she looked great in a bikini but when I found out that she was a racist then I split...nothing is worth compromising my values over...even for a bikini babe.

To think you'd EVER have a shot at a hot babe like Palin is to indulge in delusional behavior ... it is to laff ... long and loudly.

Oh - did the model appear in those great commercials for ALPO ... ?

you hadn't heard of Sarah Palin when John McCain picked her as his running mate in 2008, you were in good company. Meghan McCain, the outspoken daughter of the GOP presidential nominee, didn't know who she was, either.

"My initial reaction was, 'Who the hell is Sarah Palin?' Like everybody else," the younger McCain revealed on Tuesday night.

In an appearance on "The Tonight Show" with Jay Leno, McCain said that she cried after finding out that her father would run with Palin -- a woman she calls a "time bomb" in her new book, "Dirty Sexy Politics."

Oooooooh! The HuffPo ... ! We should be afraid ... ! Look, Palin makes the LibTard crowd add to the already-smelly load in their overstuffed 'Depends' 'cuz she's hot, she's smart, and she's ELECTABLE. Look at who they have to put up against her ... Obama? Hardly. Hillary ... ? Say 'cankles' and 'dictatoress'. Kerry ... ? He 'served in VietNam' you know ... Bawney Fwank ... ? Great if y' need someone as National BlowPerson, but otherwise ... Nuh-unh, Herbie - Sarah Palin has got it goin' ON, and the reason for all the attacks is 'cuz the Leftards are in full-fledged panic mode ... keep on spewin' ... we'll keep on winnin' ... Your time is past.
