it's kinda interesting to me that a psuedo national referendum on the health care bill was conducted by the one state where everyone already has health care

Many people voted for Obama because of his version of the health care plan.
The plan got watered down.

As most politicians, he never discussed specifics of the [healthcare] plan
during his *campaign* to be voted in.

It got "watered down" because it was in much greater chaos that what it
is now. The reasons it's in the state now is because of some checks and
balances that have swayed it.

He couldn't discuss the details of the healthcare reform because it would have take too long for any rally time.

Giving the job to congress is what he was supposed to do. We know congress can't do anything in a short time and without all kinds of twists and turns.

They pay to much for their own healthcare and don't want to or can't afford to pay(their share of this bill) for the rest of the country.

I think I heard 97% of their population is covered.
In WI we are at around 92%
But I was listening to te radio today and people were getting turned away from Badger care(our version of national health care) because they didn't have the money to cover a procedure. When the woman said she would pay for it out of her pocket they said they couldn't do it because the procedure is covered under Badger care and she is on it so thay wont do it.

Actually it depends on the candidates as to what the people are saying. They may want the healthcare bill still and just do not like the other candidate.

So this doesn't prove anything as to the healthcare bill at all.

I want the public option and I want the rest reformed and I am working to see it happen.

No your wrong! If the people wanted this version of the bill they would have voted for Coakley. She would have voted for the bill as is.

Thats not what the people wanted! That's why they voted for Brown!

No your wrong!!!

Coakley was ahead of Brown 20 points until the Louisiana Purchase and the Cornhusker Kickback and subsequent Senate passage of the health care scam bill. Then her numbers nosedived. Obama's weekend visit finished her off. So no, he was right.

in reality I dunno if it was as much a referendum as much as she just ran a crappy campaign too

either way the right is gonna trumpet it as a mandate

Not wishful thinking, fact. Don't take my word for it, go back and look at the dates, events and the numbers. Unless it's just easier to deny, deny, deny that is.

Yes, this healthcare plan is the Congress plan, Obama had three stipulations he wanted to make sure of and left the rest to the Congress and as usual, bipartisanship has caused them to keep stalling and regrouping. I think it will get passed, whatever party the Mass senator is he has to know the system needs a change. It will take them longer now to decide the details of the change, butI still believe it will happen.

As to OBama being one term, I do not know, he inherited alot and many people had high hopes but little patience(its like the obese woman who takes ten years to put on the weight and wants to see drastic results in one,,,). I am proud of him and even if he serves only one term, I hope he sets a precedent for future presidents to actually get in office and WORK, and work hard.

People want reform.. There is no debating that.. They just don't want this mess.. I hope now they can work on something that doesn't take bribes and closed door deals with special interest groups to get it passed..

there's an old saying..." Never confuse activity with results "...all he ever does is " read " speeches...

Really, Id suggest a visit to politifact.com to review all the things he has initiated and succeeded in accomplishing in his one year. Most of US work 23 days a month, or approximately 280 days a year.If you thought seriously about the average day of a president and HOW LONG congressional sesssions are, you would see that he has actually been VERY busy doing alot more than making speeches.
