It's not been reported much in the mainstream news
but here is a brief synopsis in my own words In Mexico, the drug cartels are fighting over control of the I-35 corridor. I-35 stretches from Laredo Texas to Minnesota every major interstate feeds off I-35. Its the main drug distribution route through the US The Gulf Cartel use to control it. The Sinaloa Cartel tried to take it over. But the Gulf cartel began to hire Mexican Special Forces military as their muscle. These special forces are known as "Los Zetas". They have effectively taken control of the cartel. They are the most vicious and violent of all the drug forces Since 2001 more people have been murdered in Juarez than in all of Iraq. Three consecutive police chiefs in Juarez have been executed. In Laredo Texas they are finding bodies of murdered Americans every day. Almost every day people in Laredo and El Paso are disapearing There is an American father in Laredo. His daughter went to a festival in Nuevo Laredo (Mexican side) She never came home. He went to the Mexican side looking for her and was told that she was captured by the Mexican police and GIVEN AS A GIFT TO THE DRUG CARTELS. Its been a year since then and she has never turned up The Texas governor, Rick Perry, had mobilized the National Guard in Texas and ordered them to defend the border against these cartels The Zetas have been taking control of the American gangs. MS13 and the Crips and Bloods are now working for the Mexican cartels. They are carrying out assasinations on orders from the cartels in most American cities Mexican military forces have crossed the border in dozens of cases escorting drug shipments. Mulitiple firefights have happened between these military forces and Border Patrol. The Border Patrol says they are outgunned and outmanned and have no chance against these Mexican forces And yet it is mostly ignored by American media what to do? |

They have failed us miserably and it is up to citizens to protect this country since politicos are more worried about their image throughout the globe than protecting the sovereignty and way of life in this country. To me the biggest difference between republicans and democrats is the spelling, other differences are minor at the end of the day. Americans need to open their eyes and see that this two party system is a scam and is a tool used by politicos to drive a wedge between Americans, and drive a wedge they have. The majority of people in this country are either lefties or conservatives, a small number are independent and don't fall for party loyalty. The lefties and conservatives should take a note from the independents and vote according to the candidates voting record and not because Oprah, or Bono says so. Now that the Supreme Court declared that corporations both domestic and foreign can contribute to campaigns is a really bad sign for us, our environment, and wildlife. I have NO HOPE for this country. |

Wow! Thank you for bringing this to our attention. I have no answer because I don't know enough about these things but my guess is that our government could stop this if they really wanted to so they must not want to.

the Minute Men can't do anything
all they are doing is watching for the poor peons trying to sneak across for work the Minute Men do not have automatic weapons and RPG's. Even the Highway Patrol in Texas is afraid to pull these people over. They just open fire with AK-47s and grenades. The "Zetas" are armed like military. Hell they ARE military special forces and fight likie it |

Fact is that whoever controls the corridor controls the drug trade. If somebody else has control of the corridor it's because our government let's em' have control. The whole situation is shady, man...

Vote according to the candidates voting record and not because Oprah, or Bono says so.
I always vote for someone I feel is the right person to run the country,not just because Oprah,or Bono.or any other star would say to vote for that is just so wrong.I have a brain of my own & I know how to use it.Voting is something to be taken very seriously not lightly.I would never let someone tell me who I should and shouldn't vote for,that's y we live in America. |

Sadly, the government is so busy with the recession and that is what the people are screaming about right now, these kinds of issues will not be addressed.
Of course someone will try to blame this on Obama too but it has been a problem for a lot longer than that. Controlling our borders has never seemed to be a considered a serious issue, even after 9/11, which really should have done it. I just don't know. |

Hell they ARE military special forces and fight likie it The Minute watch and call border patrol when they find people, personally I think those of us who care about this country should donate to Minute Men and make them a Militia funded by the citizens and let them do what our government won't do and remove from office ANY elected official who tries to bring charges against them. Our government could give a million dollars to Mexico's generals and tell them at the end of each year you get this money, for every illegal we catch crossing the border we will keep $100,00.00. That might fetch the response we seek here! |

It's been a major issue for DECADES (AZ and several other states have passed voter resolutions and laws in regards to the issue), but the Washington elites are too busy being crooks to pay attention. |

I saw this on the history channel. They featured the "Los Zetas" on their series Gangland. Makes me not want to ever go to Texas.
