Joseph Andrew Stack is the pilot.

He burned his house, stole the plane, and crashed in intentionally into a building in NW Austin, TX

"12:03 p.m.: Cynthia Reed, who works in the building next to the one hit, told CNN she saw people who apparently were trapped. "They were hanging out the windows, screaming for help," she said."

"12:11 p.m.: Harry Evans of the Austin Fire Department said firefighters found "heavy fire destruction in and around the second floor ... lots of heat, lots of smoke, lots of fire."

The plane hit the Echelon Building, which is next to a major highway in north Austin.

The IRS, CIA and FBI all have offices in the complex where the building is located, though it was not clear if they are in the building that was hit. The FBI said its office was not in the building that was struck.

CNN confirms the plane was a Cirrus SR-22

Echelon is right next to the FBI Headquarters building in Austin.

Cruising speed of an SR22 is 213 MPH, it carries 92 gallons of fuel, and is a 4-seater private aircraft.

Hmmm.. I guess we can expect TSA and their body scanners at regional airports that cater to private pilots...

Now I know that America is not the only place things like this happen but why do so many people seem to 'go postal' in the US?

Just reported that so far there has only been 2 transported to the hospital and one that is not accounted for at this time. The other injures were minor but not life threatening.

Several floors are on fire but contained at this time....

The airplane was not stolen as it was reported.........the person flying the plane owned the plane.

And at this time they are not sure what really happened and if it was done intentionally or not..........

As far as the house fire it has been confirmed he did in fact own the house that was set on fire.

The IRS was located within that same building of 190 they say now they are still accounting for those employees.....

There was a 6 page suicide note left by the pilot before crashing into the building. It seems he had serious problems with the IRS and may have been targeting the building due to that issue.

Austin PD police chief now denies the plane was stolen, and he cannot confirm whether the house fire was connected to the pilot.

Austin FD chief believes the fire is contained, but not out yet.

2 injuries in the building, 1 person accounted for.

All the information including his suicide note he left on the internet.

One thing for sure it was a miracle that only 2 so far have been transported to the hospital and only 1 unaccounted for......... no deaths this is unreal but a blessing. It could have been a huge disaster.....
