Just received this by email and I am not all that certain if this is the appropriate forum. What it states is a bit curious to me, What do you think about it?

Dr. Stephen Mak says he treats terminal cancer patients in an "un-orthodox" way, and many patients recover. He explained, that before he uses solar energy to clear the illnesses of his patients, he relies on natural healing in the body against illnesses. See the article below.

Fruits and fruit juices are one of the strategies I use to heal cancer. Lately, my success rate in curing cancer is about 80%. Cancer patients shouldn't die. The cure for cancer has already been found, whether you believe it or not.
I am sorry for the hundreds of cancer patients who die under the conventional treatments. Very few live for 5 years under conventional treatments; most live for only 2 to 3 years. Without conventional treatments makes no difference, because most cancer patients also live for 2 to 3 years without any treatment. It is difficult to cure cancer patients who've undergone chemo and radiotherapy, as their cells become toxic and weak. Then, when there is a relapse, the cancer spreads very fast, as the resistance is poor.

Thanks, and God bless.
Dr Stephen Mak

EATING FRUIT

This is informative!
We all think eating fruit means just buying fruit, cutting it up and popping it into our mouths. It's not that easy. It's important to know how and when to eat fruit.

What's the correct way to eat fruit?

IT MEANS NOT EATING FRUIT AFTER A MEAL!
FRUIT SHOULD BE EATEN ON AN EMPTY STOMACH.
Eating fruit like that plays a major role in detoxifying your system, supplying you with a great deal of energy for weight loss and other life activities..

FRUIT IS THE MOST IMPORTANT FOOD.
Let's say you eat two slices of bread, then a slice of fruit. The slice of fruit is ready to go straight through the stomach into the intestines, but it's prevented from doing so. In the meantime, the whole meal rots and ferments, and turns to acid. The minute the fruit comes into contact with the food in the stomach, and digestive juices, the entire mass of food begins to spoil.
Eat your fruit on an empty stomach or before your meal!
You've heard people complain: Every time I eat watermelon I burp, when I eat durian my stomach bloats,
when I eat a banana I feel like running to the toilet, etc. This will not happen if you eat the fruit on an empty stomach.
Fruit mixes with the putrefying other food and produces gas. Hence, you bloat!

Graying hair, balding, nervous outburst, and dark circles under the eyes, all of these will NOT happen if you eat fruit on an empty stomach.

There's no such thing as some fruits, like orange and lemon are acidic, because all fruit becomes alkaline in our body,
according to Dr. Herbert Shelton who did research on this matter.
If you have mastered the correct way of eating fruit, you have the Secret of Beauty, Longevity, Health, Energy, Happiness and normal weight.

When you need to drink fruit juice, drink only fresh fruit juice, NOT from the cans. Don't drink juice that has been heated. Don't eat cooked fruit; you don't get the nutrients at all.
You get only the taste. Cooking destroys all of the vitamins.

Eating a whole fruit is better than drinking the juice.
If you should drink the juice, drink it mouthful by mouthful slowly,
because you must let it mix with your saliva before swallowing it.
You can go on a 3-day fruit-fast to cleanse your body.
Eat fruit and drink fruit juice for just 3 days, and you will be surprised when your friends say how radiant you look!

KIWI: Tiny but mighty, and a good source of potassium, magnesium, vitamin E & fiber. Its vitamin C content is twice that of an orange!

AN APPLE a day keeps the doctor away? Although an apple has a low vitamin C content, it has antioxidants & flavonoids which enhances the activity of vitamin C, thereby helping to lower the risk of colon cancer, heart attack & stroke.

STRAWBERRY: Protective Fruit. Strawberries have the highest total antioxidant power among major fruits & protect the body from cancer-causing, blood vessel-clogging free radicals.

2 to 4 ORANGES a day may help keep colds away, lower cholesterol, prevent & dissolve kidney stones, and reduce the risk of colon cancer.

WATERMELON: Coolest thirst quencher. Composed of 92% water, it is also packed with a giant dose of glutathione, which helps boost our immune system.
Also a key source of lycopene, the cancer-fighting oxidant. Also found in watermelon: Vitamin C & Potassium.

GUAVA & PAPAYA: Top awards for vitamin C. They are the clear winners for their high vitamin C content.
Guava is also rich in fiber, which helps prevent constipation. Papaya is rich in carotene, good for your eyes.

Drinking Cold water after a meal = Cancer!
Can u believe this? For those who like to drink cold water, this applies to you. It's nice to have a cold drink after a meal,
however, the cold water will solidify the oily stuff that you've just consumed, which slows digestion.
Once this 'sludge' reacts with the acid, it will break down and be absorbed by the intestine faster than the solid food.
It will line the intestine. Very soon, this will turn into fats and lead to cancer. It is best to drink hot soup, hot tea, or warm water after a meal.

HEART ATTACK PROCEDURE
Women should know that not every heart attack symptom is going to be the left arm hurting. Be aware of intense pain in the jaw. You may never have the first chest pain during the course of a heart attack. Nausea and intense sweating are also common symptoms. Sixty percent of people who have a heart attack while they're asleep do not wake up. Pain in the jaw can wake you from a sound sleep. Be careful, and be aware. The more we now, the better our chance to survive.

I was hoping this was a legitimate article about nutrition and how fruit helps the body to stay healthy. I was really getting into it when I bumped up against THIS:

Let's say you eat two slices of bread, then a slice of fruit. The slice of fruit is ready to go straight through the stomach into the intestines, but it's prevented from doing so. In the meantime, the whole meal rots and ferments, and turns to acid. The minute the fruit comes into contact with the food in the stomach, and digestive juices, the entire mass of food begins to spoil. Eat your fruit on an empty stomach or before your meal!

Please. The 'doc's comments are SO bogus. Any credibility 'Dr Mak' may ever have had at the beginning of the piece was destroyed with those comments. Food does NOT 'putrefy' in the stomach. Food does not 'spoil' in the stomach. Food does NOT cause gray hair, 'nervous outburst' (whatever THAT is), or dark circles under the eyes. I guess 'Dr Mak' has never been introduced to the concept of 'genetics' and 'heredity'. His comments are so far removed from the way the body digests food as to void anything else he says. Using terminology like 'putrefy' or 'rot' rather than 'digest' just illustrate a lack of knowledge and an appeal to ignorance. Anyone who eats durian (as an example) without having a loaded gun pointed at their head is just asking for indigestion and other problems we won't mention here. Sounds as if he's had personal interaction with it, too - most people have no idea what 'durian' is, let alone having been made to eat it if they haven't grown up in a Third World culture.

It's a shame he's a fraud, 'cuz there ARE many legitimate benefits to eating fruit. The body DOES have the ability to heal itself if we just listen to what it tells us. THIS person, however, will impart NOTHING of value on that topic because of his ignorance and his dependence on 'juju science'. This isn't that far from concepts like 'psychic surgery' and other junk 'science'. Betcha this guy would sell ya some snake oil as a cure in a heartbeat - along with a program of 'high colonic irrigation'. I'm STILL waiting for him to tell the reader WHAT 'procedure' to use in the event of that heart attack. All he imparts is symptomatology - nothing more. Thanks, 'Doc'.

The same thing I thought whne I read it, but I am not that into nutritional foods. But logic, sort of tells you that if the fruits spoil, rot, whatever in the stomcah because of other foods, would not the other foods also rot and spoil; and then what nutritional value would we be eating????
The only thing I can "digest" from this is that fruit when eaten alone can give us more of its nutritional value than with other foods.

A long time ago, a juicer was the best investment i ever made, and to make it easier make it regimented to clean it before you drink your juice as a reward......that's the biggest hassle they say, and why people stop. also, a toothbrush cleans the strainer quite quickly and efficiently. my eyesight went from 20/40 to 20/10, and my strength increased 25% before weights....
veggies are even more powerful than fruit, even the most potent.....cantelope, but that is with juicing the rind, as 95% of the nutrients are there, yes, the mega super-fruit is cantelope, by a country mile, but any dark greens as well as being more powerful, are absolutely essential for optimum health, along with fruits, and certain very powerful herbs.

imagine if you will, two handfuls of spinnach (equal to a whole family's salad when not compact, three oranges, four carrots, one lemon, one granny smith apple, and 4 strawberries, then blended with pecans and granola (you can't taste the spinnach).....protein drinks don't stand a chance. very fruity, and a full blast of power through your whole workout and until lunch...

Damn. That sounds great. Now: Can it be made WITHOUT a juicer? Don't have one, don't want one. Can the cantaloupe just be chunked up along with everything else and eaten as a salad? Is the spinach fresh or frozen - and is there a difference? I'll leave out the pecans and granola, tho', and bump up the strawberries. Thanks for the tip.

spinnach is organic from same's club, and cheap at that, and you can buy a juiceman jr for as low as 49-70 $ from what i've seen, as i buy them for gifts, and walmart does sell them and can order them, but you can find them at sears, pennys...

as without a juicer and only blender, the yellower skins are more palattable than greener ones, but always with thin skinned fruits, (yes, it's more expensive, but not in the long run) always go organic if possible, as whole foods, and local farmstands have safer fruit. insecticide levels are totally un-acceptable, but gov't doesn't want you to know, so shop wisely...... thick skinned fruits are more versatile with insecticides, but go organic as often as possible.

a blender will work wonders on certain things, like strawberries, bannanas, pecans, and granola, with blueberries, or blackberries, with silk soy milk(has mild oatmeal taste) also cheap at sams, that was my breakfast along with the juice........ and cantelope, i haven't tried in the blender.....maybe a food mulcher, then blend?

the cantelope rinds are tough and chewwy, but if you can get through that, you'll process some food value i'm sure....

Darkowl, thanks for the tip. Our Farmers Market is set to open here on May 1, and I'll be down there to stock up on local produce when the doors open. I'll look at WalMart next time I go to see if they have Juiceman in stock. You're right about the rind on the cantaloupes - those will go into a blender and if the juicer can handle the results from that, I'll have rind juice (or at least a less-dense final product).

Another easy thing to do, even if you don't have room, a lot of the veggies can grow in pots. I kept crispy lettuce through the winter and it was delicious.

The before/after thing on the fruit really doesn't make sense. Papaya is a great way to settle the stomach, and comes highly recommended after eating meals.
