One more example of how that pesky 'Anthropogenic Global Warming' is making 'em sweat it out in the Antarctic ... those minus 100-degree temps must make 'em want to strip down to their undies to cool down ... and let's not forget that ice that's gettin' all thin 'n stuff ... but the polar bears are prolly quite the happy little creatures ... How's that 'hockey stick' graph workin' for ya ... ?

Don't you know you're not supposed to bring up objective facts to the AGW crowd? No autographed Al Gore photo for you!

Yeah but if it keeps warming it could possibly get to -99.We all know that if we ever get past that -1 everything melts and the world comes to a end according to Al gore.Gores and Obamas plan to bilk the taxpayers for trillions in the name of global warming seems like a lost cause now.
Don't worry though.Give Gore some time.He will come out with stack of papers 6 feet high and several hundred scientest claiming we went over the tipping point and the earth is now going into global cooling.Of course the normal kool aid drinkers will buy his BS hook,line,and sinker and say we need to kill ourselves to save the planet. |

OOps, I just farted. I was thinking about Al Gore. I just farted again. Oh my, it just got .0001 degree hotter now. I just wrecked a glacier in Greenland.

Is it just me....or do the GW " believers " actually LOATHE humanity?? After all...they seem to think that we are all just raping and plundering the planet with absolutely NO feelings about it. They seem to think that humanity is nothing but a scourge that needs to be eradicated so that the planet can be " saved ". |

OOps, I just farted. I was thinking about Al Gore. I just farted again. Oh my, it just got .0001 degree hotter now. I just wrecked a glacier in Greenland. http://www.nbc11news.com/localnews/headlines/35695074.html EPA Considering Charging Dairy Farmers Cow Fart Tax; Local Farmer Reacts Lawmakers may soon be considering a rather interesting way to try to control greenhouse gas emissions, when it comes to cows and other livestock. David Nichols knows cows -- having more than 30 years of experience in the dairy industry, his businesses, Graff Dairy, and his livelihood depend on his bovine workers. Now, a possible new proposal from the Environment Protection Agency could make things a little more difficult. "To me it's just ridiculous," said Nichols. The EPA is looking into the idea of charging fees on cows and other livestock for their flatulence. Some scientists believe the methane cows release into the air when they fart is impacting the environment. Nichols feels differently. "This is just a natural occurrence that happens with every animal," said Nichols. "So unless they're gonna put it on deer, elk, pigs, chickens, dogs, and cats it's pretty ridiculous." Nichols say in his experience, his cows don't pass gas any more than his human workers do. He thinks the government should look to several other places when it comes to battling global warming. "We've got fuel emissions and factory emissions to worry about," said Nichols. "I think with as many cows that are running around, their effect is pretty minimal." He says such a tax wouldn't just bode trouble for the dairy industry -- he says if there were ever a tax for passing gas, it would get passed on to the consumer. "You're not going to see the dairy people take a loss," said Nichols. "Just like any taxes, the business doesn't pay taxes -- the people pay the taxes." Nichols say he would be forced to raise his prices -- something he says is not a good business move when the country is facing an economic crisis. "If we want to keep the economy strong, it means less taxes so people have more of their own money to spend," said Nichols. "Let's stay away from taxes." For now, the livestock gas tax has not been formally proposed. Nichols hopes that's just how it stays, so he can focus on making cheese instead of paying taxes for cutting it. Last summer the EPA asked for public comments on the idea of regulating greenhouse gas emissions from cars as well as other sources, which included cows. If passed, fees could run as high as $175 per dairy cow. |

Well, with THAT kinda news, THIS oughta really take the red off their candy - seems that cows really AREN'T guilty - matter of fact, they're downright helpful ... dont'cha love to see the self-righteous skewered on their own kabob ... ?
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ http://www.telegraph.co.uk/earth/environment/climatechange/7564682/Cows-absolved-of-causing-global-warming-with-nitrous-oxide.html Cows absolved of causing global warming with nitrous oxide Livestock could actually be good for the environment according to a new study that found grazing cows or sheep can cut emissions of a powerful greenhouse gas. By Louise Gray, Environment Correspondent Published: 7:00AM BST 08 Apr 2010 In the past environmentalists, from Lord Stern to Sir Paul McCartney, have urged people to stop eating meat because the methane produced by cattle causes global warming. However a new study found that cattle grazed on the grasslands of China actually reduce another greenhouse gas, nitrous oxide. Authors of the paper, published in Nature, say the research does not mean that producing livestock to eat is good for the environment in all countries. However in certain circumstances, it can be better for global warming to let animals graze on grassland. The research will reignite the argument over whether to eat red meat after other studies suggested that grass fed cattle in the UK and US can also be good for the environment as long as the animals are free range. |
