weather it be fire dept. or nursing home, how do i go about doing this
though?? I mean I know how to join the fire dept., buthow do you go
about vol. in hospitals and nursing homes??

Go to the nursing home and ask for the manager. They will usually be
able to help you mach. I work at one and they could sure use the extra
help.

Last year I volunteered at EVC, we would go and pick up drunks and drug
addicts and bring them in to a rehab and I worked some in Intake at the
rehab. It was personally a very sobering event for me. I choose not to
do it this year as I could not take the heart break anymore.

Recently I have been spending one day a week at the AZ Food Bank. The
fact that there are hungry children in this world is something I find
appalling and unacceptable.

The secret is, to find something that is close to your heart and then
take it on. If you do that you find the rewards are tremendous. Not so
much to you but to the world

Another program that always needs volunteers is Big Brothers and Big
Sisters.....you may enjoy that Mach

there is UNCLES AT LARGE here in canada.but you cannot have a criminal
record at all.

I always volunteer at the animal shelters, which mostly means playing
with cats lol. But its something =D

Hospitals usually have a volunteer dept. Just make a phone call.
The is also the food shelfs and the soup kitchen they always need help.
Salvation Army and Red Cross...
