In all honesty the same "real americans" who are moaning and groaning and helping the republicans create yet another wedge issue will be the same ones who end up plucking the chickens after they deport the illegals. Isnt it the republican way to blame the victim anyhow? Ignore those fat cats who hire cheap illegals and deport the poor folks who will do the dirty jobs most americans are unwilling to do. Actually, 'blame the victim' is a 'Democrat' specialty. We were never able to buy featherless chicken before the illegals came? How about landscaping? Our yards were dirt and no bushes or sidewalks? Construction? we lived under trees before the illegals came and started building our houses? farming.... I guess we ate the bark off the trees we lived under for food, before the illegals came and planted and picked our crops.. this must have been a really Sh*tty place to live before the illegals came to do all the work we just didn't want to do.. If you aren't someone that hires them, then you shouldn't support illegal immigration. When I was in the Air Force I was stationed at Kirtland AFB in Albuquerque. We drove to El Paso and went to Juarez atleast once per month. Coming back on interstate 25 about 15 miles inside of New Mexico there is a checkpoint. Every single car must stop. Every single car is searched. You MUST produce identification. This was 12 years ago. I didn't hear anyone bitching about it then. What is different now?  So now, I-10 is a border crossing.

I felt the same until I moved to Chula Vista, Ca with my husband who was then in the navy. WOW! what a difference. We went to Tijuana a few times(because of him and his friends) there is a pretty long line at the borders but I remember parking somewhere and WALKING through a checkpoint of some sort. Anyhow, I am going on a cruise with family later this year to Mexico, but I think Im going to stay on the boat. |

In another story from Arizona, but one that's attracting less attention than that state's check your documents anti-immigration law, a nun in Phoenix has been ex-communicated after approving a live-saving abortion. Sister Margaret McBride was excommunicated for approving an abortion without which, doctors say, both the woman and her 11-week-old fetus would have died. According to Thomas Olmsted, the Bishop of Phoenix, approving an abortion is an excommunicating offense -- period. Wow, damned if you do and damned if you don't. Was the nun supposed to let the baby and the mom both die?
