GOVERNOR CALLS FOR OBAMA ADMINISTRATION TO TAKE ACTION ON ILLEGAL
IMMIGRATION
Governor Gibbons: “This is a federal issue and this Administration must take action
now.”

(Carson City, Nevada) – Governor Jim Gibbons today demanded that President Barack Obama and his
Administration take immediate steps to enforce federal immigration laws. “Guarding the borders of our great
Nation is a federal responsibility that this Administration is ignoring,” Gibbons said, “Federal inaction is
compelling states like Arizona to take state action and forcing state taxpayers to foot the bill.”

Recent statements from President Obama suggest he is trying to make immigration enforcement a political
issue. “This President and this Administration, including Congressional Leaders Senator Harry Reid and House
Speaker Nancy Pelosi, are shamelessly pandering for political gain, “Gibbons said, “These people should start
acting like leaders and start enforcing federal laws”, Governor Gibbons said, “Instead, they blame others for
their own ineffectiveness.”

Governor Gibbons noted the Administration is out of touch with society today. “Clearly the immigration
system in this country is broken and is costing taxpayers billions of dollars,” Governor Gibbons said, “The
Obama Administration must wake up and fix our immigration problems at the border.”

Gibbons believes the immigration laws in the United States must be modernized to reflect advancements in
technology (facial recognition technology, biometric ID cards) and the changed world we live in today. “There
are people crossing the border committing violent crimes and others who want to harm America through
terrorism,” Gibbons said, “President Obama, Reid and Pelosi are ‘asleep at the switch’ and they must take
action now or American families will continue to suffer.”

The letter he is talking about was sent before the Arizona law was passed. Believe it or not there are laws already in place that are very simular to what was passed in Arizona, the Administration is just to afraid to enforce them.

I forgot to add that Governor Gibbons was the first Governor to send National Guard units down to the border to help with the efforts.

Good on ya, Gibbons. The border's not the ONLY duty that 'The ONE' is ignoring - witness his intentional lack of action in LA for the BP oil spill ... if this footdragging had been done by BUSH, the 'news' woulda been up his asss in a minute, but since it's 'The ONE', well, he's 'inexperienced' and 'he inherited his problems', and ... and ... they NEVER effin' QUIT with the goddamned assskissing ... So, even tho Gibbons is doing the right thing, I hope he doesn't expect 'The ONE' to take any action requested of him ... malignant narcissists only worry about who can do what for THEM ... if there's nothing in it for them, they just ignore ya ... that's what'll happen to Gibbons' request ... damned shame.

Securing the borders is something I can go for.

Until we get the money out of illegal immigration meaning designing a system in which people can accurately be verified then send employers to jail for hiring illegals the border will never be secure. There is too much money to be lost in the construction trades by stopping criminals from sneaking into the country and that is what we need to stop, hiring illegals. Them coming here is the symptom, people hiring them is the disease. Kill the disease and the symptoms will go away. The only thing that can happen is for states who give a damn is for them to follow Arizona and do the job the feds REFUSE to do.
