There's a small flag to the left of the podium from what I've read, though not very large. Still, I agree, it is a shameful move for Obama to use this weekend of all weekends to head out on vacation to Chicago. He is the president, he should be at Arlington National Cemetary, he is in a very high position in this country...that truly is a disgrace.

He will be at the Lincoln Cemetery on Memorial day, there are soldiers buried there. Maybe they are not as important as the ones at Arlington or something.

In my opinion Arlington should be the place he visits, all good that he is visiting Lincoln...but he really should be at Arlington, just my opinion.

They tell me church is not required to pray, and I have to believe that a cemetary is not required to be respectful of the dead.

Traditions can become an overwhelming nightmare of red tape, especially in a country whose diversity reflects more traditions that one can uphold.

If you are so concerned about upholding all these traditions perhaps you should suggest a new cabinet positions with a surrogate President whose only purpose would be to appear at all the major cultural traditional functions.

If you hurry that position might be filled in time to give a blessing to the new Mosque when its completed in New York - a few blocks from (ground zero).
