This is the cake that's being displayed in bakery display cases in N'Awlins now ...

It's hard to find enough words to express my disgust for the little Communist who continues to have time enough for GOLF but not enough time to address this disaster ...

That's fantastic! What obummer has done is give the people some tough sounding lip service and that's about it, he's a do nothing hack and nothing will happen to BP. the crooks er I mean congress and himself will see to it, BP will pay some serious fines er I mean campaign contributions.

How 'bout his REFUSAL of the Dutch offer of SKIMMERS that were offered THREE DAYS after the blowout? He said NO. How 'bout his having enough time to play GOLF but not enough time to ADDRESS the problem? How 'bout his sending LAWYERS and a SWAT team as his FIRST RESPONSE ... ? How 'bout his MORATORIUM on ALL OFFSHORE OIL DRILLING until he gets some fictitous 'guarantee' this will 'never happen again' ... ? That's BS ... but it plays neatly into his agenda to END our ability to produce our own energy from our own resources - AND it has (in his eyes) the ability to completely destroy the livelihood for four states as well as the ecosystems and industries associated with the Gulf. It's not important to him 'cuz they didn't vote for him ... I just don't have words enough to express my disgust with 'The Littlest Communist' and his complete lack of interest in dealing with a problem that will wipe out industries, states, and the way of life for an entire region of our nation ... If you can support that, well ...

again, nothing mentioned about he can personally do anything about this situation right now,,,,how are lawyers and Swat team going to fix the problem, are they going to file a TRO on the oil or shoot it into submission? the truth is, there is nothing right now that the president has AUTHORITY to do that is going to make much impact until AFTER the oil is stopped,,,

Yeah, right ... while you're at it, ask him WHY Venezuela (say 'Chavez') continues to drill off THEIR shore using $4BN of US money while he tells US to shut down ... ? No one ELSE (say 'NON-US flagged rigs) is shutting down - only the US-flagged rigs are shut down. The Mexicans, Russians, Cubans, Vietnamese, and Chinese are still drilling non-stop. He is USING this disaster to further wreck the US economy - 'cuz you can bet your asss that his 'speech' tonite is nothing more than a push for his effin' 'Cap 'n Tax' scheme ... he has NO interest in doing ANYTHING to end this disaster - for him, it's a 'Gift from Allah' ... Oh ... ask him how he likes his new nick: AKOTUS ... 'Asss Kicker Of The United States' ...

Not to get to political but

I agree with this.... and what about the offers from the Iranians to cap it in the first week of the spill? Or Kevin Costner's new oil sucker upper?
IMO no matter where the offer comes from..... it should have been carefully considered but the mindset is if America can't fix this thing.... Nobody can? noway Oye!

There were offers of help from THIRTEEN COUNTRIES within days of the spill. Obama REFUSED THEM ALL. The REASON he refused them is because he did NOT want to do what OTHER Presidents have done routinely when accepting offers of help from other countries: Waive the provisions of The Jones Act ... This Act specifies that ALL vessels coming into American waters MUST be American-built and American-crewed, and it's a leftover piece of Union protectionist legislation from the 1920s ... This was Obama's way of PROTECTING HIS UNION SUPPORTERS ... it's a PAYOFF for them ... He's 'loyal' (to use a word) to his base of vote fraud affiliates because they'll keep his sorry asss in power - the states that didn't vote for him ... ? Well, you see the result of that being played out every day now in the Gulf ...

why is the assumption from those of us who arent INVOLVED in the actual process, that all these things dont get 'considered'....?

hasn't history taught us that LEAPING impulsively into a 'solution' without thinking it THROUGH past the initial action, can get us in deeper than it helps us out of it?

Right ... let's see how long it takes him to 'think it through' before he decides that the best way to 'guarantee' there'll never be another spill is to pass his 'Cap 'n Tax' Scheme while keeping the moratorium on ALL offshore drilling ... THAT's what this speechifyin' tonite is about - he could care less about what's being destroyed ... but there'll always be those who defend the indefensible ...
